Is impossible for a person to be saved and never have spoken in tongues in their entire life

Did you mean is it impossible? If so, no I don't think it's impossible.
Some groups will say that you are not born again if you have no spoken in tongues (mostly certain pentecostal groups) but I have found scripture to say otherwise.

If you look at the verse John 20:22, you can see that there was a account of the disciples receiving the Holy Spirit before the day of Pentecost, and actually even before Jesus ascended.
This shows us that you can indeed have the Holy Spirit, which signifies one is born again, yet not speak in tongues.

What we see in the account of Pentecost is the occurrence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is something seen and several other places of the new testament and highly supported.

The thief on the cross, I believe, is always such a good test of what is absolutely necessary in terms of salvation.

Whew people like to brag and misuse this and the gift. Ok Speaking in tongues is a gift and a sign to the unbeliever to give God glory.

Everyone has different gift to glorify God..........ok think about this, what if everyone was a believer but they didn't act like a believer, well is tongues really going to prove God is real? would they care? maybe maybe not but if you had a certain gift for that exact timing for the appropriate use then that is your gift.

No when you are saved you do not all ways speak in tongues. it is all about using it right and glorifying God, why should i speaking in tongues to a group of devil tongue sinners who babble like they speaking in tongues? shouldn't i rather in that certain time use the gift of knowledge or wisdom to show them great understanding about the bible? if they babble in demon voices then why should i speak in tongues then, what would it prove to them? would they care? I think not my friend.

God bless

Paul tells us not to speak in tongues unless someone is there to interpret what we say. I doubt if that happens very often.

In other words, I doubt if you need to speak in tongues to be saved.

If the Lord hasn't given you the gift of tongues, why would he hold that against you?

I am saved and I've never spoken in tongues nor have I ever seen someone else do it so I'm a big skeptic when it comes to that gift. I'm not sure there's a special "God language" too woo non-believers and/or believers. I've always thought of tongues as different languages on earth. How many God-language interpreters have you met in your life? and how would they have even learned all the words? It just doesn't make any sense to me..

I could be totally off-base but I think that gift is really overrated in some denominations. People treat it like the ultimate spiritual gift, when God gives many different gifts that are amazing and helpful. We are the BODY of Christ. We can't all be feet, or mouths, or hands. We each have a unique role that we take care of. So.. I may get a lot of attacks for this message but.. I can't help it, I'm just not convinced..
