As far as I am concerned homosexuality is a sin. This then begs the question, aren't we all sinners?

This is true we are all rotten to the core and it is only by the grace of God that we can be saved. the difference being, if I sin, i confess it, repent and ask God to help me not do it again. Now is that the case of homosexuals, do they repent knowing they are still living in that sin they just confessed i.e willingly continue to sin.

Thats my take on it. homosexuality is a sin! I also believe it is a choice. I am not convinced that it is in the genes.

What is your sexuality?

At the moment, Gay.

Do you feel homosexuality is a choice or something a person is born with? Why do you feel that way?

I believe it is something psychologically learned through childhood especially but also experience. Because I have experienced it and its the only reason that makes sense.

How many people do you know who are gay?

3

What is your religion?

Christianity

Are you practicing?

Sort of.

Does your religion say homosexuality is a sin?

Yes.

Do you think homosexuality is a sin? Why/why not?

Yes. Because the Bible says so.

Why do you feel people are judged based on their lifestyle choices?

Because Christians nowadays have forgotten what it means to love and taken up God's justice and their main priority.

Any other comments?

Yes, I just want to say that it is possible to escape it. And I'm in the process of that now.

I've seen just as many straight marriages that had less to do with the sanctity of the covenant as I have seen gay couples who love each with all their hearts. I don't believe homosexuality is right, nor do I think straight marriages without God in them are any better. So be sure you aren't being hypocritical the next time you scorn a homosexual and shake the hand of a man who abuses his wife.
I think Harley said it best.

Homosexual relations are totally abhorent to God, they go against the very ideal He instituted. confusing the issue with bad husbands wives etc, is only muddy'n the water and does not resolve anything except a stance that it is ok.

I do agree that violent men or women for that matter are wrong, but the idea of the marriage itself is correct, even though people abuse it. Homosexuality is wrong altogether.

Hetrosexual marriage is as God ordained it. not homosexuality.

I don't see Phil throwing any stones. He stated his opinion. Stone-throwing would be name-calling or telling a person they're going to hell or that they're evil.

If you see his quote a few posts up, he even says, we are all sinners.

I totally agree again with Lauren, we are all sinners.

I am not casting stones. I am saying that Homosexuality is a sin, its up to the person wether or not they do it. But for a christian to remain a homosexual is a different matter altogether. Is it ok to carry on in the same sin, should we not cast of the old self? I don't mean perfection either.

Thank you for your response, Lauren. My comment wasn't intended to be a personal attack on Phil. He seemed to be making the point that a sinful heterosexual marriage is better than a sinful homosexual relationship and I disagree with that. Both are the same in God's eyes.

Homosexuality is a choice, but I do believe some are more susceptible to being homosexual. Just like some people are more susceptible to being violent, an alcoholic, a liar, etc. We can know that these behaviors are wrong, but choose to partake in them because of our fleshly desires. I know because I used to be a homosexual. I was delivered from it 6 years ago, but only by the power of God. There are many reasons why someone is a homosexual, but that is another discussion.

How many people do you know who are gay?
a few

Christianity

Yes

Does your religion say homosexuality is a sin?
Yes

Do you think homosexuality is a sin? Why/why not?
Yes, I believe homosexuality is sin because God says it is..just like fornication, murdering, drunkenness, etc.

Why do you feel people are judged based on their lifestyle choices?
In people's mind, they have a concept of what is morally right and what is morally wrong. But to fully understand the lifestyle choices that a person makes, we must understand the world (the Satanic system that opposes the ways of God) we live in. But this also is another story.

Any other comments?
We all are born into sin. There is no one who is born righteous. We can only be declared righteous by believing in Jesus. We have an enemy who is opposed to all that God is and stands for. The Bible states that Satan is the god of this world, who has blinded men eyes to the truth. Everything that God has made good, he seeks to defile it. We are in spiritual warfare. Though we are physical beings, our battles are spiritual.
