I think he's just interjecting himself in the conversation so Consumed won't answer. It's important to understand what people believe and why they believe it. I might learn something or I might be able to share something or both. Either way, I need Consumed to clarify his statement so I understand it properly as he means it (and not what I think he means by it).
Consumed has a loving heart and I believe him when he tells me he is a Christian. I'm just trying to understand if he believes that all religions lead to salvation and the God of the Bible. I think that's what he said. That is what it looks to me like what he said and would like for him to confirm it so I know for sure.

I asked a simple question do you believe in the trinity? yes or no
And to be honest I am deeply shocked at how many on here believe a heretical lie as you obviously do IBE, and if you dont you do love starting trouble.
Your comments are foolish, these beliefs of mine as you call them have been the foundational beliefs of Christians from the start. as you are fully aware, those who do not believe in the trinity, have always been labelled heretics.
I do like how you use the word professing Christians, it is very simple how can you profess to be a christian and yet deny the very foundational truth of God.
And I will continue to speak out against heresy as has been done since the beginning of christendom. if that upsets you, there is nothing really I can do about that. The Truth is truth. the truth does not change,. but men like you and others on here denying the trinity are trying to change the truth.

AOK i love you brother, im not offended i assure you. We can only come to the Father thru Jesus, the work of the cross, the requirements for sin paid in full brother.No other way, He is the doorway so to speak, scripture attests to that brother, this i know you know.

When I was young in the Lord, I would take all my great questions to the word of God. I would pray and search and with the help of the Holy Spirit, I would find that for which I searched. I marveled at the breadth of scripture.
When I matured, I hungered for deeper things. With the help of the Holy Spirit and the advice of men wiser than I, I dove deeply into the word of God. I marveled at the depth of scripture.

I totally agree with m paper 345. The Bible was written by Individuals filled with The Holy Ghost whom God gave the precise wisdom unto. Sadly, today, they keep coming out with New "improved" Bibles that pervert, or dilute the real meaning onto some other meaning. You must be careful, Satan is very Crafty.
To see which Bibles have words changed, simply read the dedication or first page. If it says "Copyright" that tells you they have added their own wording . The KJV says no such thing on the dedication page. Be careful, compare.....

Sometimes i struggle to read the bible daily, something always seems more important at the time, but like you I always feel better when I do, we feel the resonance of the livng word and the Holy Spirit in us singing in perfect harmony, glorifying our Holy and awesome God.

SDA does not deny the Trinity, yet they are a fringe group often classified as a cult or minimally as a sect depending on the Bible scholar.
Teaching the Trinity and the deity of Jesus is central to salvation, since Jesus said, if you deny him, he will deny you (Matthew 10:32-33), and Paul repeated the same in 2 Timothy 1.
It appears to me, then that when Paul said that there is "another Jesus . . . another Spirit . . . another gospel" (2 Cor. 11:4), then he was focusing on what saves us.
In 1 Cor. 15:1-3, he clearly states that believing in the "gospel" is what saves us. If we have the wrong Jesus, or "another Jesus," then the impossibility of salvation is present, because the "gospel" that they hold is through a Jesus unknown to Paul.
The SDA teach the truth on the Trinity and deity of Jesus (with the minor fringe remnant that tries the old Jehovah's Witness trick of making Jesus into Michael the Archangel in his preexistence).
For the rest of them, though, they likely have the true Jesus. Grace is present in their gospel, but the error comes in thinking that they are kept in their grace through human works. That is deadly. It is what Galatians was written against. Since Paul said in Galatians that this is another way of salvation, then we had better sit up and pay attention.
The biggest difficulty is what do you do with a group like the SDA, where most of their members believe in the true doctrine of God and Jesus, and grace, but they error on how the grace is kept? I admit that this is a doozie and my best shot at it is that it is on an individual basis.
That's why we care and love them enough to have taken the time here to instruct them along these lines and make sure that they believe biblically on Jesus (especially his preexistence), the Trinity, and grace.
I have shared Galatians and personal works here. I believe some have failed the test so I put them in God's hands and let them know Paul strongly stated that real heretical doctrine is enough to anathematize.
Now, of course, you have saved people in a cult (people who were saved and justified before God at conversion and are being sanctified currently but just didn't know enough and joined a church or sect aligned with a cult) but that does not make the group they belong to any less cultic or in error.
Since cult members, on an individual basis, can be saved, the only way to know about an individual is to quiz them on the essential doctrines up and down the line to see if they really believe.
On Oneness Pentecostals (UPCs), it is much easier. They flatly deny the Trinity. They can whoop it up and holler praise phrases as much as they want to, but they cannot deny the true nature of God and be saved. This alters everything from the top down. If they have deliberately discarded the Biblical revelation of God for a heretical substitute, then they have Jesus wrong, and they have ruined the plan of salvation for themselves. God waits for them in patience, love, and grace nevertheless. What a magnificent loving God we do serve.
As Dr. Walter Martin used to say, "You can be wrong an any number of non-essential things in Christianity, but if you are wrong on who God is, then you are wrong enough to lose your soul for all eternity." Hence our attempt to correct them here from the error they cling to as a result of their indoctrination and upbringing.
