Nothing is wrong with having a love for Science. True Science is not in conflict with the Bible. Scientists have learned that matter is a concentrated form of energy. This is demonstrated with the explosion of nuclear weapons. From where could such energy come? After asking, “Who has created these things [the stars and planets]?”, the Bible states regarding Almighty God, “Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one of them is missing.” (Isa. 40:26) So God himself is the Source of all the “dynamic energy” that was needed to create the universe. Scientific facts show that all physical creation was not accomplished in just six days or sometime within the past 6,000 to 10,000 years.
Reason on this: Light from the Andromeda nebula can be seen on a clear night in the northern hemisphere. It takes about 2,000,000 years for that light to reach the earth, indicating that the universe must be at least millions of years old. In addition to that end products of radioactive decay in rocks in the earth testify that some rock formations have been undisturbed for billions of years.

Furthermore Genesis 1:3-31 is not discussing the original creation of matter or of the heavenly bodies. It describes the preparation of the already existing earth for human habitation. This included creation of the basic kinds of vegetation, marine life, flying creatures, land animals, and the first human pair. All of this is said to have been done within a period of six “days.” However, the Hebrew word translated “day” has a variety of meanings, including ‘a long time; the time covering an extraordinary event.’ The term used allows for the thought that each “day” could have been thousands of years in length.
But when the word of God is allowed to say what it clearly says,we see God is not in any mans box;

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
IOW he spoke the sun into existance.......took a whole 10 seconds.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
IOW,Gods days work is more than some scientists mind can comprehend. we have a great God

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
God just kinda coasted on day 2....all he did was make the sky

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
HMMMM,begining to look like days to me.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Impossible to tell how how did most of it,but he spoke the sun into existence
Originally God carbon dated the sun when he made it. His little meter read 1 trillion years. LOL

God said "I suppose some humanoid will call me a liar in about 6k yrs"

Well there are a number of theories which attempt to rectify this apparent problem. (The problem of distant starlight and time)
I do not care to get into them however lol. We understand less about the universe and time than we understand by far.
But you are assuming God created the stars and then then waited billions of years for them to reach earth. There is no reason to necessarily assume that.

Now of course, those who are scientifically minded will immediately criticize me for this "cop-out". But I have no problem believing that if God can create the universe and stars, He can also create the light that they are emitting.

That is the difference between faith in God and faith in nothing.
Take it or leave it or create a theory, it's up to you. Creation was not the result of natural phenomena.

Yes indeed.
Lets turn this thing around. The atheist is standing before God and telling him how the earth and universe are simply the result of an abstract flatulent.
UH HUH ,you tell him guys. I'l hide and watch
