Just some off hand things about Revelation. If you start from chapter 4 and try to read the rest of Revelation as you would any other written description of events you will be confused. There are to be 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel when the tribes of Israel ceased long ago. At the final battle vultures will eat the bodies of horses when horses are not used in battle today. Don't get the wrong idea, I believe that Revelation is inspired of God, however do we assume the 144 thousand Jews just meant consecrated Jews and the horses meant machines? Also, why is Rev written in such an unorthodox manner that it cannot be understood in the traditional way? Anyone have any good answers?
