i believe its why Jesus taught the desciples this

Luke 12:2-9 "For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. 3Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. 6Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.8Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: 9But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God

the answer to me, for fear of the type you are speaking of is That Jesus is with us, and because of that God is with us.

i once met a missionary family in africa, who taught me so many things regarding this same issue, and thier stregth was to truly and simply believe that God is with those who call on Jesus, and follow Him. eternally He is calling to us each one " Come amd follow me" and He is saying to each of us " I am with you always even unto the end of the world" <<< there is truly confidence in that truth.

If God is for us, who is it that is against us? i see that nowdays differently, If God is with us......it simply doesnt matter who is against us, He is greater.

Amen, followjesus.

That reminds me of a song.......that God is greater than our fears..........He's greater than anything!

I used to have fears about talking about Jesus like that, but i noticed it was easier just to incorporate Christ in every day conversation with different people i meet... Its a whole lot better than walking up and down the sidewalk with a megaphone while screaming "REPENT!"... I do admit, some people need to hear it though.

Right, Goowz,

I think that was his point of the radio program, to learn how to normally engage others in
conversation, but to look for an opening in sharing something that would open up the conversation to being able to share more about Jesus and the gospel. You hit the nail on the head. :) Thanks for your post, it really helps!

Wow, that was so me. I was saved at 25 and all I wanted to do was to listen to the older folks that taught the word.

I didn't want to talk to other women about formulas and diapers, not that there's anything wrong with that :), but I just wanted to talk about the Lord and the word and I wanted to absorb all I could as fast as I could.

I think right now in my life I feel pretty useless. Having health issues makes me feel like I waste each day because there's not much I can do. I will think it or say it to myself out loud, "another wasted day."

BUT, the Lord continues to remind me that I'm not useless, but it's a battle that I'm still
engaging in. I'm listening to the enemy and need to stop it. Every day is precious and by saying it's a wasted day, I'm telling God that He's not enough.

Maybe that's why for me, I need to do things intentionally or I'll give in to the pain and forget that I do have purpose and my life is not wasted. Thanks again for sharing. :)
I can say this with all honesty you will have a purpose until you take your very last breath.

Health issues will come and we all will face whats now our purpose in life. No matter what we all probably have a circle of influence we can connect with. Rather it be social media or the Drs and nurses. Shoot through social media now you can also influence someone on the other side of the world.

Your mission is far from over. You are very right. Dont let satan put a basket over your light. But let it shine.

Now what I want to start doing is going to eat at local bars but bring my bible with a certain limit to read and study. All awhile secretly looking and being open to talking about God.

I would only recommend this type of evangelism if drinking isnt a temptation lol

Great idea! He mentioned having a bible with you and having the person read a bible passage that you would normally read to them or tell them.

That way they're hearing God's word themselves with their own voice. He said that can be pretty powerful.

Yeah, if you're walking into temptation that you can't handle, you could go to a restaurant without alcohol to do the same thing. :)

Thanks so much for the encouragement and the boost up.

We are witnesses wherever we go, and sometimes more when we don't even know we're being used. :)

Yah and thats why its so important to study and know where atleast the general area of scripture is.

I agree thats why I chose this idea because drinking to me makes me sick. I never have liked drinking. I like filling my stomach on food not liquid. Lol

Very very true and even our last breath can be the strongest witness of God. Just look at the first Christian death affected many. We just never know, very true

It is important to know the word. I had a friend who said she wanted to be like a certain Christian woman whose a well known teacher within the Christian community.

I know we shouldn't strive to be like others, but when she said that I didn't know what to say to her. My first thought was that we want a lot of things in life, but we have to put time into lots of study and prayer.......many are not willing to do this.

The end of my great grandmothers life was very impacting on my life. She lived to be 98 and I was in my early teens when she passed.

I do not have a lot of memories of her being, well who her old personality was because she started to have Alzheimers when I actually got old enough to talk to her in a meaningful way.

But oh my goodness she definitely put the fear of God in me a few times lol.

But her last days someone told me all she wanted to do was go to church because she had grown too weak and sick to go. She was the type ready to see Jesus.

She didn't know it but that was impactful to me. To see such great faith. All she wanted to be was as close to Jesus as possible until she was able to be with Jesus.

Perfect love casts out fear. Fear always brings a defensive stand of trying to protect, and inhibits other's seeing the spirit within, where Jesus is.

Faith set's free, because we know who is protecting us, our heavenly FAther, and we are free, to love.

It was amazing. We spoke for hours and I cant quite explain it but it felt like this man was mad but seeking a way to forgiveness. I felt like this man was speaking through me and directly to God as if God was sitting where I was. And even more amazing I felt like I was just a spectator and God was using me to say what this man needed to hear.
I've experienced something similar a couple of times. I call them "divine appointments"!!! :)

Amen Im always searching for that one soul to connect to again and share the message written on my heart. Its like a spiritual high and them moments are so soul absorbing and life-changing he walked away with a whole new look at life and I walked away knowing God was calling me to soo much more. God spent so many years preparing me through my disobedience and now I can't deny him any longer. We are called to so much more and I can't ignore it.

Absolutely!

The last "appointment" we ended up talking for several hours, through until around 3am, as a lot of questions came up. Before the conversation I was super tired, but I stayed and my tiredness seemed to quickly fade too.

I usually read scripture online when traveling, but I happened to have my bible with me, and so I gave them my bible to keep. It seems I packed it because it was meant for them :) I left the conversation on a major spiritual high, and it was difficult to sleep after that! :)
