Something bad for something good

Genesis 20
"But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him,"indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man's wife."...
...."Yes,I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinnig agains Me;therefore I did not let you touch her..."Genesis 20:3-6

Some days ago I was driving from my work place to the library and after that I had to pick up my daughter from school.
But I forgot to put my seat- belt. There were 2 policemen and they stopped me.
I was fined for this my fault.
This wasn't a good thing..but it was for a good reason.
The history of Abimelech is very interesting and has many deep examples.
He saw old but nice and attractive woman..His brother was with her..she wasn't married. There was no child..And he wanted to have this woman like his wife..
But..oh..he became ill and his illnes developed badly. He never had possibility to touch his heart desires...Every day he thought about Sarah and may be his longings grew bigger and bigger.
I told my husband "Oh,why God is so open-minded to Abraham?..Somethimes Abraham started the whole troubles but in the end " he is a prophet ,and he will pray for you and you shall live"Genesis 20:7
But my husband smiled at me "God accepts Abraham for his faith..no for his acts.."
I am impessed of God's reaction:He gave the missing information to Abimelech and leted him make his own decision.
Many times our free will is the most difficult "problem" in our life..
My Lord,I have respect for Your determination to give us free will.Help me to show my considerations with You.
Help me to let others make their own decisions..like You.

Great post, I often struggle with free will, as in why God allowed us to continue to have free will, since alot of the time, I will make the wrong choice. But then I realize that in our sin nature if we didn't have free will, that we would always make the wrong choice, so once again as Joesph, the one with coat of many colors said, men meant it for evil But God meant it for good. So we can use the free will that God gives us to make the Right choices.
De 11:26Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;De 11:27A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:De 11:28And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Cool Post!
It spoke to me and made me think!

it's cool to read posts that have to do with living scripture come alive in a persons life.
Jesus revealed, it is part of a testimony, and makes the sriptures come real, not only to you but those who read it.

Free will, it's going to be cool to get to heaven where all of us there have made a choice to know God and serve Him!
A place where we will not have to fight to be what God created us to be, (you being you, and me being me)
I can see how we would be like calfs let out of a stall.

Now salvation, and strenght, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come,
for the accuser of our brethern, who accused them before before our God day and night, has been cast down.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they did not love thier lives to death
