No, while faith is a gift, it is very much YOUR faith.

Note the many times where Jesus said in the new testament, "your faith has saved you". Do a word search for "your faith", it is found throughout the scripture.

Then scripture must be wrong:

2Co 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

Mat 5:20ForIsayuntoyou,ThatexceptyourrighteousnessshallexceedtherighteousnessofthescribesandPharisees,yeshallin no caseenterintothekingdomofheaven.

Psa 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psa 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

He shall bring forth thy righteousness .

Now again to bring in the fullness of the word, you see, it's hard to explain but when we read the word in English, it needs to be hammered out like you must look at it and compare it, how can I say, when you read one verse of scripture, imagine an artist looking at a painting that he is painting, where is the painting finished? At what stage? See the Word is living, it's alive, for example; If I read the Greek then go to another witness translator, I read

Corinthians 9:10

"He who furnishes the sower with seed and with bread to eat will supply seed for you and multiply it; he will increase the crop of your charities." James Moffatt

Corinthians 9:10

"Now He that supplieth seed to the sower and bread for eating. Will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, And cause your to grow your fruits of righteousness:" - Rotherham.

OK see now how the Spirit is starting to work through it, adding layers, angles, dimensions, this is like the artist, taking a step back looking at the work then again adding another layer of complexity, and the word acting like the artists painting because of it's depth and history and complexity starts to come alive, can you see what i'm getting at?

If the faith is of their own, why then came to Christ? Is it not because they had HEARD thus the faith of Christ had came to them as we read in Roman 10:13? Nobody would have came to Christ if they had not heard. Christ said He had came to heal the sick and those who heard believed and came to him. Our own faith is useless, cant get us anywhere let alone change anything.
