I remember seeing scripture once about How God sings to us. Ive been trying to find it again so if any of you know please Id love to find it again. Reciently I have become more aware of the book of songs. I used to think it was just beautiful writings of people in love. Now I realize it is Our Lord God singing of his love for us. This book holds so much for me now. That Our Lord God would give us a book all about his love for us is beyond mesure. I wonder how many of you have read this book and what verse has touched your heart? My fav right now is songs 4: 12 - 5:1 A garden enclosed. Again, how wonderful that God would give us a book that speaks of his compleate love for us. So read and share. God bless, pickles

Zephaniah 3:17 ''The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.''

Psalm 32:7 ''Thou art my hiding place: thou shalrt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah''.

Hmm Thats a bit overly simplistic I think. The Bible is many things but we must read it as those who would would have read it first in his original meaning and historical context. It is all cute to say that but hermeuntically speaking its just sloppy at best. Now, the book is about the love between a man chaseing a woman with another guy in the picture and finally the two lovers get togethers and enjoy martial love together and love it. That is what the book is about. Now marriage and sexuality points back to a grand spiritual picture (Ephesians 5) and sexual intamacey is given in marriage to give us a sample of the glory and amazingness of Heaven. So that is a vallid application about how as the man ought to seek the woman and the woman in that culture did not have the final say for her hand in marriage so God sought us and we did not seek him. And we loved another (sin and the world) yet by teh Spirit we have been enabled to Love God by the power of the Gospel.

I realize its a rather simplistic view but some opinion is that it represents Jesus and the church, his bride, and the threat of another to steal her away. As all of the bible is the inspired word of God it would be interesting to read this book and you would have to wonder what message God has for us here. Since the word is living , it makes sence that there is more to this book than one would first think. I simply thought it would be an interesting book to examine. Also the fact that so much is spoken of love . So how is this in comparison to the love Our Lord God has for us. God bless, pickles
