I know Raid chokes me up! Then a lady I worked with said squirt vinegar around the house to repel spiders. I just despise seeing a spider when Im in prayer. I know it sounds silly but Im thinking "Smack! Go on devil spider"
But yet if I hike with a partner in the woods..I always like to walk in front of them to protect a person from snakes. Thank you Jesus. I am not afraid of snakes at all..and I am happy I am not. Especially as much as I love being in the woods lol

I haven't tried using vinegar so maybe I will try that......Thanks !!!

I am not afraid of snakes either, but I do know which ones to keep my distance from and which one's are okay to pick up. But even if they are harmless and longer then 5 ft. I tend to leave them alone to........

I think some of them have more then 9 lives, and then you have bug spray companies watering down their bug sprays.

For I have sprayed some of them with Raid and they just looked at me like thinks for the shower and/or drink and then kept on walking.
When I was new to Florida and had a roommate we had just moved into a place and there were droppings in the bathtub and I said Robyn we have mice oh no..... She came and looked and said no that's bug droppings and I said how big are those bugs? She said it was a Palmetto bug....I said well from the looks of the droppings you must be able to saddle and ride those things....lol

Then later I saw one like two inches long and an inch wide....ick......and the worst part about them is they also fly and it seem they fly right at you... I have screamed more than once on those huge bugs and their flying bad habits....

I am so thankful the place tourist and I live now is bug free....except the occasional spider and lizard that sneak in.... at least the lizards eat bugs.....might starve in here though.

I have a lot of these hognose snakes around my yard where I live.

They are harmless nonvenomous rat and mice eating snakes but they can look very intimidating by how they can flatten out there head/neck area like a cobra can !!!

why people posting/quoting pictures of spiders :(
Reminds me of how much I hate flying. I'd rather have a spider crawl on my face than fly. Being locked in a tube seven miles above Earth just ain't my thing.

Oh yea KennethC I promise you vinegar keeps them away. I love the woods so much all my life. Lol...really there is no critter Im afraid of. I had a pet racoon once that put her hands in my Cheetos bag and ate them with me. She would sit on my shoulder when I took country walks. Her name was Lucky...that coon scared away a mean stray dog from biting me once alone on a country road. She got way to wild to stay in so I had to let her go. Lol...basically Theres not much in the country Im scared of. Im like BLB tho I dont like milipedes ew lol

Yeah it kind of sucks but its part of life down here in the country where I live, and the fact the house I live in is over 50 years old. This house was built in the days before plumbing was in the house, and my dad personally ran the plumping in here and built the cabinets which now need to be redone. And we took one of the big closets and turned it into the bathroom....

No but been planning on getting some.

I have been to busy trying to clean up the overgrown brush on the 20 acres I own, and putting down a new cedar fence with my own cedar trees I have cut down. That and this time of year is taking care of the garden !!!
