I like this set of scripture.....One thing that amazes me is how many people will say that Paul and Peter had a disagreement which is not what happened...Paul--->REBUKED PETER TO HIS FACE...no argument here!

I guess Paul didn't recognize Peter's (POPESHIP)<-----NOT
Just a historical note: the early church recognized the bishop of rome as the first among equals and the successor of Peter and Paul, the early church never considered Peter and Paul at odds with one another or teaching a different gospel.

From the pauline epistles we find Paul having to defend his authority in Christ, not being one of the original disciples of Christ, it appears from his epistles that some believers questioned his apostleship.

As the church at Corinth were carnal some saying they were of Paul, others of Peter, others of Apollos, so we today can be carnal saying we are of this tradition over that of another tradition. WE ARE ALL OF JESUS CHRIST !!! Amen.

It was a great fellowship pamahaw, breakfast. It keeps growing. about 15 today. Lunch was at 9:30 am. and about 45 showed at church and paniudto Lunch. We had a beautiful worship, in spirit and truth; I'm preaching in 2tim. it is a powerful and emotional book, I relate to Paul's rejection very well. many christians and family are ashamed of me and my preaching. Here at church I do not allow any decention in the flock, no arguing or going contrary to my rules. We don't have a set doctrinal statement yet. My wife had three years of Bible school in HOPE BIBLE SCHOOL,IFUGAO, Philippines., and is not in opposition to my teaching. (my first wife was ashamed of me and God took her home early, a great lose) Today, I am blessed, we will formulate our fellowship later, as a none sectarian fellowship. Based on the Bible only. Of course my doctrine is very presbyterian and Baptist ,like C.H.Spurgeon, I love the books of A.W.Tozor. And the puritans, Jonathan Edwards, and today I would be best with John MacArthur and John Pipper. I like a few others ,which I hear on Songtime USA, John DeBrine. Qwen ?????was great last week,"Risky Gospel" The Tripp brothers are good ,Ted Tripp, (a friend) SHEPARDING the heart of a CHILD . Paul Tripp was good. Love to all ,Hoffco

God was leading me to the philippines , The month before my wife died, we meet an American missionary , from Davao City, in our home in Chestertown N.Y. One yr. later I was fully moved to Davao City. I had to sacrifice a lot of 64 yrs of living in the states, but it was worth it all. I am very well established here after 6 Yrs. To the tune of over 100,000 dollars. I liqudated all, to move here, never to return with out my new bride. But, I need more support for our ministry to grow, and to be able to get my wife's' family established after we and, they had a great lose in 2012 typhoon, Pablo. in New Bataan, Compostela valley, Mindanao, I lost my car they lost they family home. They lost their father the week before. His coffin was found safe after the flood and they dug it out ,unharmed. Love to all, Hoffco

That is not NT reasoning, that is non-NT reasoning.

The NT law of liberty is conditioned only on faith, not on personal circumstances.

The law of liberty is for all those under it, irrelevant of their former circumstances.

Whether from a country of bondage or from a country of lawlessness,

when one immigrates to America, he is under the American law of liberty.

Previous bondage is not required to be under the NT law of liberty.

More non-NT reasoning.

Since the death of Christ, condemnation is by disobedience to one law only, "Repent and believe!"
(Mk 1:16)

Law keeping is not the NT criteria given by Jesus (Jn 3:18, 36).

Only faith is necessary for forgiveness of sin, which is salvation
(Lk 1:77) from the wrath of God (Ro 5:9)
at the final judgment.

That is NT reasoning from the NT word of God.
Whether works follow it or not:
Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

To dcontreversal, post 385 is great, LOL, You have a lot of good incite for a young man, Praise God! To Elin, You are always "one sided": extreme on Faith, void of the need of true holiness for salvation. Love to all Hoffco
Faith in the living God through the living Son is what caused change to see the love of the Father through Son to all:
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Ephesians 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 3:18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace
Luke 18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

And that is where itr seems you are stuck at, in what James says?

Brother works after belief are not of self, if you have agreed to be dead to self with Christ back at the cross?
Works that come through the believer are of God's type of love done through the believer that is dead to his self, and alive to God in Spirit where that is the only place God can be served
Please praying for you to see the difference in flesh works and God works of rest?
[h=3]Philippians 3:10-11[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; [SUP]11 [/SUP]if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The war has not yet stopped:
Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
And will continue even if the self, until the final day of redemption to our flesh, For now we are to walk in:
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

My brother, Homwardbound ,Your judgment "before the time" is in the "SINFUL FLESH". I think you just broke the command of 1Cor.4:5. As our brother dcontroversal asked, "why did you say that in light of watcher2013, #409; it was against what I said, I think , SO, how can you see my clear words and ever come to such a "FALSE" judgment against, my "WORKS" in the Spirit? I always preface my Works by the POWER of God and the new nature of the new birth. All other works are of the FLESH, but our works ,after the new birth can be of the flesh or after the Spirit. Love you, beware of your sinful flesh. Hoffco

I do not persecute Christians, I try to correct them with the WORD of GOD. This has happened to me all my life. Because the ZEAL of GOD has EATEN me up, I am so zealous for God's truth, that Christian rejected me, and it has lead me to a lot of anger toward other Christians , because they reject me as a divisive person. Many times I deserved the neg. judgment , because of my anger, but not always. My first wife got so mad at me that she silently spread bad rumors about me. At the last meeting with our church elders, they asked me "What did you do Doug, that was so bad, that the superintendent gave you a 2 yr. suspension of your license to repent before your trial on the charge of "false doctrine and disorderly conduct"; I begged my wife to tell them, I had done nothing more than oppose their errors, and to tell the Superintendent, " I will not worked under your MICKEY MOUSE authority, that demands blind obedience to your misguided , misapplied authority, and judges my for my straight talk with you ,for your false judgments, after, I have obeyed you to the letter, exactly." My wife said nothing in my defense. But, praise God, He has given me a new wife and a new ministry, in the Philippines. I was widowed in 07 and providentially lead to the Philippines in 07. Love to all, Hoffco

dcontroversal, thank for defending me, I am sure that others have also missed judge me many time; but, i am sure I was in sin very often, and I am trying, with homwardbound's help, at times he helps me, other times he gets on his "kick" of anti works, that he will slap my holiness zeal for good works. When we do good deeds out of the love for God and others ,our good deeds are holy, and prove our good heart. As Jesus said, our good fruit proves we are His disciples Jh.15. Love to all Hoffco

1. The gospel of Jesus can be corrupted and turned into a gospel (of a different kind) which has no power to save and is double cursed by God--->Galatians 1, 3

2. Can two walk together except they be agreed--->no

3. Jesus said many will come saying.....<-----Jesus said he never knew them although they claim to know him based upon their works, miracles and the ability to cast out demons/devils in the name of Jesus

4. You have every flavor of Christianity found under the sun, and the above scriptures tell me that we are not all of Jesus!

I agree as Jesus said the (Hyper-Religious) of his day were white washed coffins filled with dead men's bones and when they make one proselyte, then make him/her two fold the child of hell.

I believe that would speak of many so called churches today.
