This post is so pompous. "You do not even understand" "I understand it completely"

My friends, this member must be God.
Once you get this far, little wonder you can put everyone straight. I wonder the day
when a Job experiences happens to this individual.

Imagine, for an moment they are wrong over one point. How hard a heart is here that
will refuse to change or break. It is why in all things we need to be open, humble, meek,
listening to Jesus and our brothers and sisters in Christ, because we so easily make a mistake,
so subtle, we end up stumbling and falling, as lucifer did from such a privileged place.

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Matt 5

Believers such as this are very quick to call people legalistic and lost, while they struggle in
sin and their walk, which to them is the reality we have in Christ rather than a purified cleansed
heart rejoicing in Christ. Amen
I should have known you would bring your arrogant, works based self righteous self in here to try to discredit people.

Do me a favor dude. Repent, And receive God as your savior. And stop trying to earn your way to heaven, and attacking those who love God in faith based on what he gave them.

For the note of the room, I have this person on ignore, Only reason I even knew this post was he was the last to respond so it showed he had made a post. So I opened it.

This person is a legalist who thinks you have to earn your salvation

He attacks everyone who does not agree with him

He blame shifts when he is caught in overt sin, and refuses to take credit for his own actions.

I will not longer reply to his nonsense even if I see him respond again, because I will no longer feed his ego. I suggest everyone else do the same

I wish for EG's sake he could speak the truth.
I am not a legalist or believe I earn my salvation.

I desire to walk like Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit with a purified heart.

Back to the original question. Did Jesus say water baptize them?

For the cause of Christ
Roger

Hi I would offer.

While I am not saying I have a good understanding .But many times the division comes from the way men see the use of ceremonial laws as shadow and not to confuse them with moral laws . What is the purpose of them ? Its like natural man is quick to look for a sign to perhaps move them to believe, the unseen. The faithless Jew that was used to represent both belief and unbelief in mankind required a sign before they would believe (confirm) The Holy Spirit used animals in the same "ceremonial way" to show a picture in our fleshly minds informing us that he is not served by His creation in any way shape or form. Clean animals to represent those redeemed and unclean to represent un belief, no faith. all pointing ahead to the suffering of Christ before hand and the glory that did follow, the reformation.

Jesus did baptize as the first function of fulling a desire, coming as our High Priest after the order of Melchezedek. The administer of the gospel as a kingdom of priests. The old government after the order of Aaron a Levite had come to a end, the reformation had come. A clear change in the government. It is what the discussion was about in John 3:25-26

Psalm 110:3-5 King James Version (KJV) Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Water baptism( ceremonial) is a baptism that shows one desires entering the ministry as a kingdom of priests.. John the Baptist was the last priest after the order of Levi. Jesus coming in the new manner of Melchedik the order we have today when all nations are part of the eligible. Jesus set the example before he was sent out in the wilderness where for 40 days without eating he proved to be our scapegoat and began the ministry of defending as it is written. (prophecy) The sword that defends us. Three times Jesus said as it is written and he fled.

The gospel is the key the gates of hell could never prevail against. He was simply showing them from Mathew 28 :19 How to teach them . Shower them with the gospel (baptizing them in the name) it is the power of God unto salvation.

Matthew 28:19Go ye therefore, and "teach" all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Go out into the world with the "authority of the gospel" hoping , praying it will wash the hearts were he sends it . It the gospel does the teaching and new birth and growth if any. To baptize in a name is to get under the hearing of the authority or be showered with its love.. Its not a sign gift to confirm something.. The ceremonial sign is a reflection of a desire to serve again as a shadow or sign of a inward desire. We are Kingdom of Priest as ambassadors sent from the Christian city prepared as His bride..

Not a sign gift that confirm something. We walk by faith.

You will come across more people who will hear and respond to the full gospel of salvation in the real world.
The Bible "Discussion" Forum is not about an exchange of Bible study and doctrines, nor of being open to learning.
I responded to the gospel out on a public road in front of a local shopping centre.
I was Roman Catholic at the time and was challenged by the power of the testimonies pinned up for reading.
I was convicted eventually and underwent water baptism and later received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence
of speaking in a new tongue. Then came immediately the first of many healings, miracles and blessings.
What was the evidence of that "kind" of Holy Spirit. You heard a noise coming from your vocal cord ? That idea you are offering is foreign to the scriptures, the Holy Spirit does not promote a seeking after a sign and wonder gospel . The mystic wonderment gospel.... keeps a person wondering .Not a source of Christian faith. That would be more of a Catholic thingy. The gospel is not I made a noise as evidence I believed or I put my hand on someone's head or I spilled some water .as if God was served by corrupted human hands No such thing as "sign gift" that needs to be refilled at the next showing.

What was it that did the work of convicting you if it was not hearing the gospel the exclusive media as it is written by which God showers us with His love. This is rather than the hearing of self. Keeping it full, falling back when filled.

Signs are not a source of faith..two different things . sign of the times and sign as a source of faith.

Signs are signs, wonders are wonders. Mixing them can cause confusion.

What does the sign of Tongues confirm???????????? The foundation is found in the Old testemtment (Isaiah 28) it speaks of after God person spoke to those who refused to believe in a God not seen warning them who mocked God again and again yet they still refused to believe prophecy spoken of in the languages of all the nations over the oral traditions of men. Create your own wonder.
