The power of the parable spoke great truths about the Kingdom of Heaven and of God. Jesus spoke in such a way for those who were truly seeking truth would either understand or thirst for more. While those in the crowd filled with pride, hate, or love of sin could not understand or would not allow themselves to reach an understanding.
Isaiah 55:11

From this example, we must discern and consider the audience of whom we are speaking to. Is it one person or many. And do you feel they may be possibly receptive of the Spirit? Can you use the discussion as Jesus did with the Pharisees to bring others around them to the truth? Sometimes when a farmer plows a field they simply go around a rock in their path to plow the area around it.
