Who's fault does it come to regarding porn? Is it the flimers? People in it? People watching it? Or a combination of all? Even I'm not immune, it's some sick stuff but it appeals to the general male population it really doesn't matter. Bla blah blah (express your thoughts)

I blame America. Last I knew, not allowed to produce porn films in Australia or NZ. It is illegal to rent or sell porn movies in australia. Why can't American just have some laws like that.

It's the fault of the tempter and the one who yields to their temptation.

1Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

--------------------------------------

13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Shouldn't directly blame Americans, as its well known the porn industry for the most part is Jewish owned. Maybe its better to blame Israel than America.

how about we quit blaming certain groups of people :) I believe its something the devil has put in place to keep people's focus off God :)

I believe one of the most disgusting things about porn is that they take "standard" sex and try to warp peoples minds and morals. You have here in America that lesbianism is "cool" instead of the vile act that it is. It's portrayed on regular TV as a desirable fantasy for men, I believe this came from the porn industry. This is a very dangerous aspect of porn.

Oh brother. Here we go yet again with another topic where people want to *cast blame* instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.

Do ALLLLLLLLLLLL things as unto the Lord. If it is not honoring to God then should you be doing it..? Period.

Noone is blameless or without fault of sin in their life....that is why the crucifiction had to happen....but c'mon, blaming a country or industry when we are given a choice..????? "For it is written, noone can serve two masters. Choose ye whom you shall serve"

Well said, grace. Porn is an issue that comes from our own hearts. If we fall to it, we can only blame our own weakness. We musn't be like Adam, blaming Eve for bringing us the fruit. We eat it willingly.

Amen and Amen!

If there was no audience for it the porn industry would go away. It is a multi-billiuon dollar per year industry. Somebody is supplying that kind of profit. I say we need to focus on the end-users (consumers). Changing laws will only make it go underground.

Pray for God to bring about the changes in this vile industry.

Where does most porn come from? America.
Who made the internet? America.
What country does Time Warner and other companies that distribute porn belong to? America.

Include Jews in the list too then.

Pornography generates billions of dollars in sales in the United States alone, and economists have suggested that it has now reached the point where the outlawing of the industry, which has been tried on occasion, could have a major negative economic impact. An outright ban, it is feared, might spark a rise in organized crime similar to that during Prohibition.
An estimated 211 new pornographic films are made every week in the United States.[3]

Why can't we learn from China?:

"Possession of pornography is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, a fine of 20,000 yuan, or even execution for large underground distributors."

Because we're too soft to take such drastic measures. Why pray about God changing it when communist atheist China has already found the answer?

People who want our money are responsible. But some evil people want our souls (to take as many of us down with them) they want others to do what they do so they won't be so evil in comparison..

Because that is excessive and Draconian. You really don't see anything wrong with that statement? Really? You want to take law enforcement advice from China?

On the one hand we're praying to God to do something about the pornography. On the other hand we don't want drastic measures to be taken because it's too draconian.
Hence the problem - nothing will change.

Porn can be bought in any sex shop in australia. Used to be only in the ACT but now you can walk down to your local sex shop and buy what you want. I think the porn situation in the world is only going to get worse as the world manifests more perversity and hatred toward God, we just have to turn the world down and live by a higher law, the law of Love. Not easy sometimes but it starts with getting wounds healed, submitting to the dealings of God and valueing our connection with God more than our need to satisfy self.

Mahogany, I see what you're saying, but I just can't agree. Perhaps it is because I struggle with porn myself. But it seems rather paradoxical to use non-Christlike messages to enforce a Christlike morality. It's like you're saying, "Jesus is right, porn is wrong. But He is wrong about how to stop it, Hu Jintao knows better than Jesus does."
