Something I have ben looking at especially in regard to the issue of woman used in scriptures. Seeing they represent outwardly the whole church, as the bride of Christ. They are considered beautiful city . Men the ugly unseen ones (lol )

We use the word glory but its seem there are many differences in opinion as to its meaning. Glory has to do with revealing the unseen eternal. He conceals his unseen glory from the unbelieving world.

Three things that make God, God. They are not attributes of God but the person, the essence of God who works out his attributes in mankind .

(1) God is light. 1 John 1:5

(2) God is Spirit John 4:24

(3) God is love. 1 John 4:8

Right from the beginning God reveals himself as a introduction . "Let there be Light and His glorious presence filled the whole earth.

Setting aside a garden from where the gospel goes out into the nations, signified by rivers "living water." the gospel.

It would seem day three, using three as a metaphor throughout the Bible to indicate the end of a matter .It would seem he found pride in the heart of lucifer (a false light) casting him down to the earth to crawl as the serpent .(false prophet).

And day four, the 2nd heavens come into the picture as he switched on the temporal light of the Sun to be used with the reflected light of the Moon . I call them. The corruption time keepers. . winding down to the end of time. It is also called "under the sun" . One to regulate the day called light (glory good ) and the other to respect darkens or evil, called night.( no glory)

Ezekiel 28. 15-17 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Some how during the first three day he would hide his glorious presence as night concealing His glory as the light .

In the new heaven of heavens (3rd) and earth dwelling place the Sun and moon will be under the feet of his bride the church (Revelation 12) and will be restored to the glory of the first three days. . . without night .

This can reflect how we view the word "glory" to represent God who is light. Holy, Holy, Holy . . .Glory, Glory, Glory.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city
had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. Revelation 21:

In that we we are the representation or shadow as the temple of God, hiding the unseen glory that works in us.

I enjoyed your understanding of various things. Your title, though, puzzled me, for you had the correct meaning of "glory" in your second paragraph. You wrote;

Glory has to do with revealing the unseen eternal.
The Greek word that we render "glory" means "made apparent" So when God "glorified" Christ in resurrection, He "made apparent" that EVERY SINGLE sin had been put away. The wages of sin is death, so if one single little sin remained, Christ could not have been resurrected. So the glory of God is when He is "made apparent". Like high mountain. It is so solid, so permanent, so immovable, so beautiful, so high, so difficult to build, so big, yet so unique mong all other mountains. It surely makes God apparent as Creator.

But then you wrote;

He conceals his unseen glory from the unbelieving world.
At first it seems like a paradox. How can something that is "made apparent" remain "unseen". But it is true. God does hide Himself from men, but His glory remains intact, and thus His glory is unseen. Although God dwelt WITH Israel, He dwelt in a Tent. And within the Tent were two sections divided by a Veil. In the first section God is revealed as the Bread of Life, Light and a Mediator (showbread altar, the Lampstand and the altar of incense), but beyond the Veil God is hidden. Any man who stepped through that Veil, except the High Priest, once a year, was killed immediately. God was hidden, and His holiness made Him deadly, but Exodus 29:43 says that His glory filled the Tent. Just because Israelites could not see God's glory, it does not mean that it is not there.

New Jerusalem is another example. The City is a Tabernacle of God (Rev.21:3), but at the same time God and Christ are the Tabernacle, or Temple (Rev.21:22). And yet the City has Gates to stop the unholy. But the City "has the glory of God" (Rev.21:11, 23). What a mystery! God's holiness is protected in that He remains unseen and Veiled. But some are predicted to SEE God - only a few. Matthew 5:8 says;

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
