Guys, the Bible says that the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword, to the dividing asunder...

When we quote scripture on the site, is it possible to commit the sword to a purpose such as a misunderstanding, or incorrect doctrine, or for prophesying, rather than quoting random Bible verses?

NoahsDad, my message was in reply to the pillow verse that you wrote about the rapture. I thought it meant one thing, and you obviously thought it meant that women were making people fly and be raptured. In the confusion, I wrote the message.

The way you handled the verse seemed odd and your interpretation seemed odd, which was why I asked in my thread that Bible verses be used efficiently to teach and reprove.

I do well to mind my own business seeing how that was a thread on the rapture and my message after yours was off-topic, I just thought the verse was way out of context.

The verse implies that the women were doing evil by making people fly, and you used the verse to illustrate the GOOD salvation of the rapture and it had me spinning.

Women.Bride of Christ.=Church.
Now with that in mind reread the verses in Ezekiel, then youll see what the point of the Chapter is.........Most prophecy is written in figurative language.where as most New Testiment teaching is written in a mainly plain down to earth language......

john 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. How come any person be with another person and be the same person?

3 persons in 1 being. Equal value but differing roles. Father Son and Holy Ghost. Distinctly separate persons yet one God.

"In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1f)

The term God is not a name for a particular person exclusively. When used alone it often refers to the Father, but is not limited.

Proper names cannot be made plural in the Greek language. The term God is not a proper name. Rather it is a term which delimits a class of being much like the term human delimits us from say canines or felines.

The Father is God in nature or class of being but is distinct from the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Son is God in nature or class of being but is distinct from the Father and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God in nature or class of being but is distinct from the Father and the Son.

God is that class of being which shares the divine nature. They are deity. The are the godhead.

The theological term used to encapsulate all of this is the term Trinity.
