Was Jesus the first to resurrect? Or those only found in Revelation 20? Do you see how ridiculous that sounds?
Then why did John say this is the first resurrection if it was not.
We are not talking about the resurrection of our Savior but the resurrection of the Saints.

Again. Seems pretty plain to me. If people can get out of their "thousand yrs just means long time" or, "We're in the thousand yrs now" or any variation thereof.

Jesus will, just as the angel Gabriel promised Mary, (yeah, that's not allegory either) physically reign for a thousand years AFTER the Great Tribulation, with the Saints that were raptured AND those that became Saints DURING the Tribulation.

A LOT of people will be born during that thousand year reign. At the END of the Thousand year Reign, Satan will be loosed, and he will deceive a huge number of those that were born during the thousand year reign.

Remember, those people will live for many hundreds of years Isaiah tells us. So there's going to be an enormous number.

At the end of that, Jesus will simply wipe them all out, and THEN the New Heavens and Earth and Jerusalem will be.

And THEN the final judgement.

There. You've been answered. Yet somehow thinking you ain't gonna like the answer.
There will definitely be a literal 1000 year reign of Jesus on the earth.
It will begin with the return of Jesus and the first resurrection of all whose names are in the book of life and will end with the second (last) resurrection when all who have rejected Jesus will be cast into the lake of fire.

Then why did John say this is the first resurrection if it was not.

Yep.

Christ's own resurrection is a different "first resurrection" than the one found in Revelation 20.

There are three "first resurrections" in scripture:

1. The first human being who died and was resurrected.
2. Jesus, the first to resurrect to immortality.
3. The first of two groups of the dead who resurrect from the dead back to physical life in Revelation 20. (the first before the thousand years and the second after it)

The first resurrection in Revelation 20 is NOT a reference to "The first human being who died and was resurrected." nor is it a reference to "Jesus, the first to resurrect to immortality."

The first resurrection in Revelation 20 is a reference to the first of two groups of the dead that resurrect from physical death. The first group resurrects, then we are told, "the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished". That group is the second resurrection of the dead from physical death.

The suggestion that the first resurrection in Revelation 20 is Christ's resurrection is a contextual fallacy, using eisegesis to force something into the text that is not actually there.

Nice try but you did not address the first resurrection.
2nd Kings 13 talks about a dead guy resurrected that touched Elisha's bones. Was that the 1st resurrection?

Then jesus brought several people back from the dead, like Lazarus, during His Ministry. Was that resurrection 2?

Then MANY Saints that were in graves were resurrected upon Jesus's death, and walked around Jerusalem. Was that resurrection 3?

Then Jesus Himself was resurrected. Is that number 4?

Then Paul tells us that when we die we are instantly with Jesus. 5???

Then Peter brings back Dorcas in resurrection. are we on 6? I'm losing track.

So maybe you need to study "resurrections" a bit more. No?

All who were resurrected in the past were resurrected in the flesh.
John speaks of a resurrection where we are changed as Paul describes.

Well I guess John did not know what he was talking about when he said this is the first resurrection.
I believe he knew exactly what he was talking about.
You are the one who needs to study so you can see the difference in being resurrected in the flesh and resurrected in a glorified body.

So Jesus wasn't resurrected in the Flesh?

In my opinion He was but just an opinion because the Scripture is not clear to me.
I will continue to pray and study.
But all others in the past that you mentioned were.

Who are the armies dressed in fine linen, clean and white?

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Verse 8 explains itself. It is the saints.
Verse 11 are the angels.
This is the second coming of Jesus.

Comparing scripture with scripture...the saints make up the armies...clothed in fine linen, clean and white. The saints are in heaven and come down with the Lord upon his return.

But you believe only part of the saints. Those raptured before the first resurrection.

Hey buddy. So you are now the board resurrection expert supposedly?

So then, tell us all about how many times the anti-christ is resurrected. And when. And which one gets the FINAL Genesis 3:15 treatment.

Then go on to explain the two witnesses, who they are, and their resurrection phenomenon as it relates to their appearance and ministry.

And then how all of this fits into your "only one resurrection" theory.

It's hard to teach this out for the reason preliminary understanding of certain words and terms are wrong. What I mean is everyone has heard over and over and over and over there will be a 7 year tribulation......the Bible doesn't say a tribulation will last 7 years. Plus what does tribulation mean. And now what does wrath means. Check it out. They are two different Greek words that are used. When one learns the difference it opens the door to go down the right road to understand Revelations.

Ahhh.....yes. It does. In fact, the very days are intentionally calculated to utter infallible undeniable exactness beyond all refutation.

Get a grip before you make such specious claims buddy. PLEASE!

If the saints are the body of Christ...where are they located at this point in Revelation 19?

You do have a comprehension don't you.
Never said there is one resurrection.
The Scripture states very clearly that those who are in the first resurrection escape the second death which the Scripture states is the lake of fire.
This first resurrection is when we saints receive a glorified body .
Al resurrection in the past were restored to a fleshly body.
There will be a second resurrection of the lost at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus on the earth and they will be cast into the lake of fire.
Hey, where is your scholar that knows all the answers?

I believe the tribulation is but 3.5 years, 42 months, as stated in Revelation 11 and 13.

Corresponding exactly with what 1Cor15:23 says (re: resurrection):

"But EACH [a word meaning, 'of more than two'] in the own ORDER / RANK"
