I have not swamped the OP with a lot of Scripture quotations,
but hopefully you will recall the NT verses which confirm the following …

Man is doubly incapable of believing in Jesus and the Gospel
1 – Because of the disobedience (sin) of Adam and Eve,
all humans are born with an inherited sin nature,
and are bent on sinning instead of following God (Romans 3:9-18).
Having a saving faith is against their very nature!
2 - All unsaved humans are captive prisoners of Satan,
and are bent on doing whatever he wants them to do (2 Timothy 2:26).
Jesus came to set the captives of Satan free (Luke 4:18).
Having a saving faith is against our enemy’s plans for them,
which, of course, is spending eternity with Satan and his demons in hell.
If the God-worshipping Lydia (Acts 16:14) needs God to give her the necessary
faith to believe in Jesus and the Gospel, surely everyone does also!
Similarly, the “anyones” who believe in Jesus in verses such as John 3:16
are the ones whom God has given saving faith!

Father God elects (chooses) and calls whomever He wishes
Jesus says to the elect, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you ….” (John 16:15).
Surely, here is a strong hint that we should investigate this matter further.
Romans chapter 9 is the most famous proponent of God’s election …

“… that the purpose of election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls.
… So then, it is not of him who wills (to be elected, chosen, and called),
nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” (Romans 9:11-16)

God gives grace to whomever He chooses, but no one deserves grace (unmerited favor)!
God gives justice to whomever He chooses, and everyone deserves justice!
God wishes that all could be saved, but it is not possible because He insists on His justice.

“You love justice and hate evil.” (Hebrews 1”9)
God is not willing that any (of us) should perish, but that all (of us) should repent …
… the “us” referring to His elect, who are promised salvation.
Christians are called to confess and repent of their on-going sins,
and the blood of Jesus will cleanse them of all their unrighteousness (1 John 1:7-9).

The reason why Father God chooses some, but not others
Father God chooses to elect some people for His great pleasure.
He chooses to elect some to demonstrate to the whole world
His great love, mercy, grace, etc. (Romans 9:23).
He chooses to elect some to be companions for His Son throughout eternity (Scriptural?).
Those not chosen are given justice, which sadly is what they deserve.

Those whom Father God gives to Jesus are guaranteed salvation
This is all about the unconditional security of the born-again believer.
Multitudes of NT verses are God’s promises of salvation given to His elect.
Surely, those of us who are born again should be continually praising God and
thanking Him for choosing us … and for the Holy Spirit sanctifying us unto holiness
… and for Jesus interceding for us before Father God in heaven.

I printed it out for your viewing pleasure .;):giggle:

There are probably more but the list is already quite long and the font so small that printing it out seems wise...

I just revisited it in photoshop to see if changing the format from vertical to hoz helps, but nope! Not really...

The font is still just as small.

Not so. Calvinists spend alot of time in prayer. I realize this is antithetical to many people's view of Calvinists, but it is nonetheless true. Much like David, they pray while prayer can make a difference, and accept God's decisions when they come to pass.

I will focus on your saying that God gives grace to whomever He chooses combined and harmonized with God is not willing that anyone should perish.

I think the key to interpreting these teachings harmoniously is by understanding the "in Christ" of Ephesians 1 to mean that God chooses/elects those who freely respond to His calling by freely accepting Jesus as Christ and Lord. This plan of salvation is what is predestined (EPH 1:4-11)

God can ordain prayer? As a means to bring His will to pass?
God does indeed ordain prayer, but it's up to man's free will to choose to pray. Can man's prayer cause God to do something, that in the normal process of human history, would not have happened, but because man prayed, God caused something to happen?

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.

Does God choose all to either believe God or not?

  • God's will
God's choice is based on his will, which is beyond human understanding. God's purposes are hidden, and he makes decisions without outside counsel or reason.

  • I believe God is righteous, fair and complete, No sin in God at all, none!
  • Therefore to say God does not or has not called everyone to choose to believe God or not, makes God unfair and unrighteous.
  • God is the only one good, still to this very day presently. Jesus is Won (One) with Father, the only way to become new for us the people is through his done work of Son as risen once for everyone to get given new life to abide in willingly, not having to do it or else anymore flesh attitudes, actually be new, willingly doing what is right over wrong, automatically, having the knowledge of truth, in what is good and what is not good first born in everyone in need for God's Spirit second birth. Then new or not new, either believe God and ask God or not. Wanting the new Heart offered in Ezekiel 36:26
  • Thanksgiving and praise are in order of Psalm 103:12 fulfilled in Son, for us all to be new, born again from Father in risen Son too!

God does indeed ordain prayer, but it's up to man's free will to choose to pray. Can man's prayer cause God to do something, that in the normal process of human history, would not have happened, but because man prayed, God caused something to happen?
Man's will is subject his nature. And God is sovereign, so His will always comes to pass. And every prayer that is prayed acknowledging this is answered exactly as it is prayed...not my will, but Thine be done. Every other prayer is the prayer's desire. James tells us that this is praying for things to consume according to our desires. Why would God answer such prayers?
Further, the way to obtain the desires of our hearts is by delighting ourselves in the Lord. There is already a prescribed means to receive our desires. Hence, prayer is another means of God's will being done on earth as it is heaven.

God can ordain prayer? As a means to bring His will to pass?
Remembering this:
there is Prayer and Prayers of those that ask amiss to spend it on there own pleasures and not care for others in that process
God has left all up to a reprobate mindset. To decide to either believe, trust God Father in risen Son Jesus or not
That is all that has been left, is to consciously decide and stop playing god, in my honest sight, Thank you
Pride and quilt, I see God hates.

And God is sovereign, so His will always comes to pass.
Sure about this statement? Do all Christians, in everything, give thanks? Nope. God's word will come to pass, but God's will? Is sin part of God's will for your life? Do you sin?

1 Thessalonians 5:
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

OK, how about commenting on the election Scriptures?
Which one? The context of election is never salvation, but service. I've been around this circle of nonsense too many times.
