kings and priests already, No I don’t think so.

In the end you get the crown of life. You don’t know who the kings are or the priests are or who will be a doorkeeper in the house of the lord.

He brings his rewards with him when he comes

You haven’t got your rewards yet, you will be rewarded according to your works when he comes.

Also there are different levels of greatness and you don’t know how great you will be until he comes.

Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Rev. 1:6 happens before he has returned (in 1:7) and is tied together with 1:5, "has loved" "has washed" "has made us kings and priests". These verbs are all aorist, kind of an ongoing past tense. This says the three happen together. If we are not now kings and priests, neither are we washed and loved yet, and we all agree that we are those two things. This is part of the introduction, and is not a vision or prophecy yet.

Sorry not sure what you said so I will just assume

Yes by faith, but you haven’t been rewarded yet

And you haven’t got your crowns yet,

And YOU/US don’t know who the kings are or who the priests are and you don’t even know who is a doorkeeper in the house of the lord.

So it hasn’t happened as yet, but by faith it will, but it’s probably already happened in Gods mind

No I am not saying that, it’s you that’s saying I am saying that.

A am by faith

But I haven’t got my crown yet.

And I don’t know and nor do you know, if you are a king or priest or just a doorkeeper in the house of the lord.

See you don’t get your crowns until he comes, and you have to be faithful to death or the end of your life to get the crown

be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

We are to be kings and priests in Christ.

The question is this: What does a king have? Authority. Christians ALL have authority in Christ.
But Kings have territory over which they rule. What is your territory? Over what do you have spiritual authority over? Do you have AND USE your spiritual authority over the territory that God has given you to reign over? ARE you facilitating kingship over the domain in which the Lord has placed you?

No I am not saying that, it’s you that’s saying I am saying that.
peterT I didn’t say you said anything, what I did do was ask a question. Why do you accuse me of saying you are saying something when I asked you a question? Don’t you know the difference between a question and a statement?

A am by faith
Then you are already reigning and have already been made a king or priest.
Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Col1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Hath and hast or past tense, those who are believers in Christ are already reigning in Christ’s kingdom. Those who have born again are already reigning with Christ. Christ set up His kingdom in the first century, those who know Christ have already joined John in the kingdom and patience of Christ.

But I haven’t got my crown yet

petert if you are in the kingdom of Christ and reigning now your crown has already been laid up for you. Just because we are still in our corruptible bodies and have not received our crowns yet does not mean we are not already reigning. We may not have our crowns yet, but we do have the keys!

Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

peterT we are reigning now! Christ set up His kingdom (millenial reign) in the first century. He gave us the keys and left us in control when He returned to heaven. We hold the keys! The reason the world is in the shape it is now is because from the time Christ gave us the keys (left us in charge or reigning), the believers (including you and I) have made mistakes and allowed many things to be loosed both on earth and in heaven. Christ will return and place all His enemies under His feet at the last trump and then those who are worthy will receive the crown of righteousness.

2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Maybe if all the Christians (instead of just some) realized we are actually reigning now and used the power God gave us the world would not be in the sad state it is.

The Bible states that Jesus made us kings and priests unto God the Father.

But Jesus also said do not fight for the kingdom of God by physical force.

Jesus also says that the kingdom of God comes without observation, for they will not say here it is,or there it is,for behold the kingdom of God is within you.

When you have the Holy Spirit, then the kingdom of God is within you, which means you portray the ways of God,His kingdom to the world,by how you live.

God never said the saints will have any physical dominion, and they are not supposed to have physical dominion at all,but we display the kingdom of God by allowing the Spirit to lead us showing the ways of God.

That is all the dominion we will have until the millennial reign of Christ,is to show God's ways by the Holy Spirit.

John 18:36-37 [SUP]36 [/SUP]Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. [SUP]37 [/SUP]Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

This is also what we received the Spirit of adoption for...... to bear witness unto the truth, not to rule here.

Exodus 19:6
(6) And ye shall be unto me a
kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

It means a kingdom of priests. Here are some other translations.
Revelation 1:6
ISV
(6) and has made us a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.
Revelation 1:6
GNB
(6) and made us a kingdom of priests to serve his God and Father. To Jesus Christ be the glory and power forever and ever! Amen.

Revelation 1:6 (NIV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Here are some other texts
1 Peter 2:9 KJV
(9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Revelation 20:6 KJV
(6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

mmm where have I heard this "logic" before..........

Matthew 4
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. [SUP]9 [/SUP]And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

.................

You know the children of the KING do not inherit while the KING lives. I may not know a lot, but I know MY KING LIVES.

I see you birds come out at the same time, you must email each other.
???????? What are you talking about? What birds? What does this have to do with the discussion at hand? Why are you obfuscating?

You don’t know what you are as yet, a king or a priest or a doorkeeper.
Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
peterT I think I’ll believe the Scriptures. They don’t say we will be made kings and priests in the future but instead they say we have already been made kings and priests. If you don’t believe what Scripture states, your choice friend. As you are led friend, as you are led.

He hasn’t handed out are rewards yet and you haven’t finished the work yet.

He brings his rewards with him when he comes

And IF you are faithful to the death you get a crown.
NO we haven’t received our crowns but as I have already demonstrated those crowns have already been “laid up” for us.
2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

As for you reigning now I think not, most of us can’t even rule over our own house, you reign with Christ a 1000 years when the devil is cast into a pit, but right now he is loos and goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
Christ defeated and bound satan with the crucifixion and resurrection. Satan is a pipsqueek he has no power over us unless we give it to him. If you are a born again believer you have already been translated into His Kingdom and are now reigning with Him. Those who fail to recognize this have not realized there potential and as a result are not doing their duty as kings and priests in Christ’s kingdom.

Considering how many Christians have been decieved by the satanically inspired premillenial view and as a result are not wielding the sword of the spirit because they don’t realize we are reigning is it any wonder the world is in the shape it is?

That is all the dominion we will have until the millennial reign of Christ,is to show God's ways by the Holy Spirit.

Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

John was already in the kingdom of Christ in the first century. If Christ's kingdom had already been established and John was already in it, how can it still be future when it has already been around for approximately 2000 years.

Col1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

How can God have already translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son if that kingdom is still in our future?

1Co 15:24-26 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Christ reigns until He has put all His enemies under His feet then delivers the kingdom up to God and He reigns for ever and ever. This occurs at the last trump.

1Co 15:52-54 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
