I know many people will think I am weird but i dont believe in dating.

I see that in the world its very common the whole dating thing, personally, I dont think its pleasing in God's eyes to see His people acting just like the world. He has so much more for us, we just have to wait.

I believe that mainly because the bible says that God never changes, and in bible times purity was something extremely important. God would chose one man to one women for the rest of their lifes and I dont think He changed.
He still want us to be pure not only by not having sex before marrige but in all ways not acting like the world but waiting on Him.

Well that is my oppinion, I would like to know what you guys think..

I am not condemning anybody that doesnt think like that, I dont know what God has put in your hearts and He always have different plans to different people.

I am in high school. I have not dated. So therefor I have not kissed other than on the cheek of a grandmother. I have not fornicated either.

I very much doubt I will date in college either largely because it will only serve as a distraction to my studies.

As far as dating as a whole. What is the alternative you suggest?

Just because two people date, or ''court'' or whatever you want to call it, does NOT mean they're sleeping together, kissing, or anything else for that matter. Personally I don't dating is a sin, I mean you can't just sit around and expect someone to show up and say hey God said we're to marry. you have to get to know that person and everything. I've been with a man for a month now, we have NOT kissed at all, we have not had any relations, or anything else for that matter. We keep God as the foundation of all things, we seek Him and His kingdom first, we're very blessed. Our conversation is based on Him and His word, we aren't ever alone(despite the fact we're both adults''.

I would like to hear the alternative suggestion as well, I mean....what else are you to do? Remember, there's a season and a time for ALL things. God puts people together for a reason, be it friends only, to marry some day, whatever. We have committed ourselves, one another, the friendship and relationship, everything to Him. We pray about ALL things, we don't do anything without asking God first. It's very possible to ''date'' or ''court'' or whatever term one chooses to use, without doing wrong.

You CAN be with someone, and keep the bed undefiled, not fornicate, etc. we have NOT had the first bit of temptation come up. It's all about where each of you are with the Lord, and with/in your walk and relationship with Him. How mature you are in Him, how much you surrender to Him, and everything else,it's TOTALLY ABOUT HIM!!!!!!!

Not one place in the whole Word of God, does it say ''do not date'' or anything, it says not to fornicate, commit adultery, lust, and so on. It simply says not to allow lust to enter the heart, not to look upon one another in a lustful manner, and if two can't contain them selves, then they are to marry.

Alternative??
I think the only one is to wait on God, and mean while let your focus be on Him.
You can have fun doing other things like hanging out with friends for exemple.
People think that you get to know somebody is by dating or going out with them, i think to truly get to know somebody you just have be their friends...
Again that is my oppinion.....

Okay, so you wait on God, but say you never have a person led to you for marriage then what? people don't just show up out of the blue. Dating isn't wrong, read the word of God, it's clear on this issue. I told you what it says, but go read it for yourself, and pray. there must be an alternative or everyone will be single for life haha

Yeah i would have to say if you are not dating then the odds of finding a person to marry and enjoy life is pretty much zero. Dating is part of building a relationship and finding out if you and someone else have enough in common to continue on dating. A date doesn't have to consist of sinful things, and yes 2 people can go out on a date and have a good time without sinning. Come on guys and gals we really need to use some common sense here. Keep it clean, keep it respectful, keep enough space between you for the holy spirit, and get out there and go on some dates! Oh and when you do decide to go out on a date... be sure to make it fun for both of you.

I am not saying that dating is wrong, the way the world date is wrong.
And I am not saying its wrong t kiss your boyfriend or anything, i just think that as God's people we should be different in everyway.
I think its awesome the way you are "dating "courting" whatever. I think dating is good, you just have to truly know the person first by being their friend.

In My personal life If someday I find someone who I start liking and everything, I wil try to be his friend first of course and then pray about it and if that is a big possibility that we can get married one day then i will date him. That is my plan but i am just a human, I hope the Lord will keep me thinking that way.

Its not that easy, especially when cute guys ask you out..lol

Well kissing usually leads up to temptation, and so on. There's a saying, that's very true, ''don't kiss someone you can't see yourself dating or marrying'' if you can't see yourself dating someone, you shouldn't be kissing them, cause it could make them develop feelings and all for you. They in turn may want to date you, and yeah...pretty much explains itself. It's sad though, most these days, don't see kissing as being an issue. A kiss is meant to ''ignite'' things, ''start a spark'' and whatever else you decide to call it. It's meant to lead to other things. Two people must be careful

Like i said on the begining I don't know what God has put on your hearts, he has different plans for different people.
That is my point of view, I just want to kiss the guy I feel that there is a strong possibility of us getting married.
THAT IS MY OPPINION....I AM NOT SAYING YOU ARE GOING TO HELL OR ANYTHING FOR KISSING A GUY....
that is what I want for MY LIFE.....YOU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT...

We should do what we feel the Lord wants us to do, not always what we want to do. That can be a very bad idea, dangerous even. We gotta commit and take all things to Him in prayer. If you feel you want to marry someone, you need to date them first, cause being friends is different. Best of luck, I'll pray for you, and God bless :)

OOOOKAY. But if I was just gonna kisss the guy I was gonna marry, I would never kiss anyone.
I don't really think I wanna get married.
I mean, idk what I want for my life yet.

I'm just saying. A kiss is a kiss. It's led me to temptation before. I'm not a virgin.
I've repented though. I'm just saying.

It's just a kiss. And I usually do have the intention of dating the guy...

But when we kiss....

I've never felt a spark.

Don't care to. I don't need a guy.

Well I just think different then you.
I want to get to know the person first as a friend, then If we both like each other then we will date..
But if your dating definition is not kissing or anything then I think just like you.

I think of it like this:

be friends < bf/gf < date (to have fun/break up the monotany) < engaged < marry
