What does sanctification have to do with salvation?

What a great salvation we have been brought close to. Summed up in three words, Salvation, sanctification, and glorification.

Salvation is free, glorification is also a gift. What of sanctification in the life of the believer?
Many who make the claim that they are saved by Grace through Faith when confronted with the question of sanctification say it is to get them ready for Heaven. This however is not the purpose of sanctification. There are also many arguments as to what Sanctification is. One says it is also only a gift and another says it is from obedience.
Sanctification is to be set apart by obedience through faith. Just as Salvation comes by way of grace through faith.

Sanctification is the process of being made Holy through the Word of Elohim. What does scripture say about Holiness? It says no-one can see the Kingdom without Holiness. Also it says that in the end days people who have an appearance of Holiness but reject the power of the word to make them holy.
So what advantage does living a life of sanctification do for the believer? It is proof that they are saved and working towards the good goal and promise of glorification. Does it only do this? No. The over all purpose I believe is for our neighbors and friends. That is the example of Messiah lived out through the life of the sanctified believers has shown others what life we are to live today. A person is not saved through sanctification, rather if a person does set their needs, wants, and desires aside for the Kingdom they most assuredly are saved already. These "Good Works" are the only good works because they come from the Father who is the only Good One.

I believe scripture indicates this is where the Holy Spirit works in our lives to change us into the image of Christ

it is our personal walk with God and no one can walk it for us

A person is not saved through sanctification, rather if a person does set their needs, wants, and desires aside for the Kingdom they most assuredly are saved already. These "Good Works" are the only good works because they come from the Father who is the only Good One.

glorification would have to do with the body that has been purchased with the blood of CHRIST but has not yet been redeemed.I'm not real sure I understand what you mean by glorification Is a gift.

Sanctification Is like what Paul wrote In
Romans 12:1-2
King James Version


1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Of course GOD creates the Born again Christians spirit perfect and truly right and seals that spirit but this Is talking about sanctification which has to do with living holy and No one can see the kingdom without holiness IMO, means no one looking at that Christian will understand holiness If that Christian Is not In the process of sanctification In their walk.

CONDITIONAL sanctification is the result of BEING SAVED. and is a lifelng process. But if your not saved, it has no bearing on your life.

For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18).

How do Christians enter into sanctification who are being saved? What is Gods chosen only way to enter into sanctification?

You can not enter sanctification UNTIL you are justified.

If your not justified. Your dead in your sin and their is no hope or “being saved” possible

After we are justified, how do Christians enter into sanctification who are being saved? What is Gods chosen only way to enter into sanctification?

Sanctification is DUAL in usage......

a. Positionally we are sanctified ETERNALLY in Christ
b. Our daily lives and how we walk is a process of growth and maturity based upon the transformation described in Romans 12

I already answered you

1. Once you are justified, you are positionaly sanctified (in christ)
2. You then are in a lifetime process off BEING sanctified. (Called conditional sanctification)

But to take that further!! You do not sanctify yourself any more than you save yourself!

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

You can not sanctify yourself. God sanctifies you. All we can pray is you TRUST God to do WHAT HE SAID HE WILL DO?

That part that you have underlined Is certainly talking about progressive sanctification because GOD makes the spirits of just men perfect,HE doesn’t need to continually create the spirit perfect

The Believer is only justified by placing and maintaining their Faith in Christ and the Finished Work at Calvary Cross where the victory was won (The Blood of Jesus). Romans 4:5

The Believer enters into progressive sanctification the same way by placing and maintaining their Faith exclusively in Christ and the Finished Work at Calvary Cross where the victory was won (The Blood of Jesus). Romans 8:2

One poster stated that you do not need to be a Disciple of Jesus to go to Heaven. Does anybody else believe that?

Just as I thought, This person believes one must maintain their salvation

He is trusting his own self and power for justification and sanctification. not the cross.

Jesus said it is finished. Not just starting.

Mark 8:34 - And when He had called the people unto Him with His Disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

You want to work to earn something you can;t earn feel free. But please keep it to yourself.
