Why is there a need to say Abraham lied about Sarah?

I have seen a debate about saying something that is true but not everything.
Now why a hyper-legalist reads this they say, you are concealing something so
are definately lying. The problem is truth is not defined by what you do not say
but the content of what you do say. If the content of what you do say is true,
it is not a lie, though its intention maybe to conceal another truth.

I have seen this tactic used by many to appear to believe a particular idea, knowing
full well one believes something very different.

So for hyper-legalists sin can be just fearing or getting angry.
Problem is if you take this too far, God sinned.

In truth a followers of Jesus we are called to keep the moral law as the fruit of our
walk with Christ. Though in theory we agree with the hyper grace believers, they
want to declare us all law keepers, because underneath it all their is a deeper divide
in their mind.

This is shown by an offer to repent and come to Christ, or really, condemnation and
judgementalism, ie you are not a christian, but agree with me, and you can become
one.

Sorry sir put the 10 were not written on the mount, they were given verbally for all to hear, including Moses & Aaron.

Exodus 20.1
Then God spoke all these words, saying,
===========================================================
EX.31:18.

And He gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai,
two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

yes, they were also spoken, no argument there!

Jesus was not born under law. Law was given because of sin to identify sin and expose it. Jesus was born of no sin. That's why he had to be born of a virgin and not the seed of man. The seed of man carries with it the original sin and slave to it. Jesus had to be born of the seed of a woman, however women have no seed, But it was God's promise to Eve that a redeemer would come.

The law provides no remedy for sin, the sinless one provides the remedy. Not keeping law which you can't keep no matter how hard you try.
Actually your going a bit to far here that Jesus was not born under the Law. the rest of your comments are totally spot on.

Jesus knew he was under the law, which is why when he healed people he told them to go show themselves to the High priests and follow the Law of Moses. [Source Mark 1.44] Had he not told those he healed to go show themselves to the priests and follow the law of purification of Moses, then Caiaphas could have legitimately tried him, convicted him of blasphemy of the Law of Moses and had him executed for cause by stoning him. This would have altered the redemptive plan of God and not allowed Jesus to give his life , that no man took it from him and the he had to "lay" himself down as a ransom for many.

This is also why Jesus said he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill and that not one jot or title of the law would be fulfilled until the prophecy of him dying, then being buried and being raised from the dead, then taking his blood into the Holy Place in heaven, then ascending to heaven and sitting on the right hand of God was completed.

Other fact's that show us he was under the law are found in Luke 2.21-52, when he was circumcised according to the Law of Moses and purified according to the Law of Moses. In Luke2.41 he was with his parents at the feast of Passover and observed it as a boy and this is when they found schooling the teachers in the temple.

Luke 4.16 says going to local synagogue as was his custom.

Excellent explanation!...Yes, Jesus was born under the OT Law,.then he ushered in The NT law as soon as he drew his last breath. Read where tbe Veil in the Temple tore in two as soon as he died

Another item to note, was The Thief on tbe cross. He beleived, and Jesus promised him Paradise for his beleif. He wasen't Water Baptized, he simply beleived like all OT people did that God did save

After Jesus died, Then tbe New and Final law came in It Started in Acts 2..

I agree...Jesus was born under the Law SO THAT He could redeem them that were under the Law. There was and still is no law of Moses for gentiles however there is a "work" of the law of God written on the hearts of the gentiles as Paul says in Romans 2:14-15.

The Law is really a manifestation of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The mystery of iniquity that came from the fall is in all men after Adam. It is the fruit of eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and it is in the flesh of men.

Thank God we in Christ are not in the flesh but in the Spirit because we are in Christ now and we have been circumcised with the circumcision of Christ and the body of flesh has been separated from our inner man in Christ - the new creation in Him.

The Holy Spirit seals our inner man in Christ from our flesh.

Galatians 4:4-5 (NASB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

[SUP]5 [/SUP] so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and He added no more.
And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

Actually Romans 1 deals with every kind of Sexual sins, not just those about the Gay people.

Romans 1:24
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.

Yes God does talk about the Gays but He is also addressing all sexual sins. Lusts of the Heart applies to everybody.

I agree, but it tells us Gay Love is an Abomination unto God. So is pre Marital Sex, Lusting after numerous Others, etc etc

Exactly. Just remember when we point a finger at the Gays, we have fingers pointing back at us.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law.

Bad analogy...Should have stated: "When we point a finger at someone, we have 3 pointing back at us; another sinner..

Romans 2:17-29
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But if you bear the name “Jew” and rely upon the Law and boast in God, [SUP]18 [/SUP]and know His will and approve the things that are essential, being instructed out of the Law, [SUP]19 [/SUP]and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, [SUP]20 [/SUP]a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the immature, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth, [SUP]21 [/SUP]you, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that one shall not steal, do you steal? [SUP]22 [/SUP]You who say that one should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? [SUP]23 [/SUP]You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God? [SUP]24 [/SUP]For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a transgressor of the Law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. [SUP]26 [/SUP]So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? [SUP]27 [/SUP]And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law? [SUP]28 [/SUP]For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. [SUP]29 [/SUP]But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

Nobody can keep the whole Law, not even you disciplemike.
