I know this may sound silly, but really what is Thanksgiving? Is it concerned with one of the 3 churches? If not, then who celebrate it? Where was it inspired from? And why? I hear about it a lot in America, but I never had the chance to know about it.

Thanksgiving is a national day of giving thanks to God. It remembers the thankfulness expressed by the Pilgrims, a group of settlers who founded what is now the state of Massachusetts. Even agnostics and atheists celebrate it as a day to be thankful to everyone who contributes to their lives. It is generally celebrated with a feast, often including a roast turkey, shared by family and friends. There are also parades and American football games.

Aha so it's an American day not based on some historic Christian event. Thank you!

Yes Thanksgiving is an American Holiday. I have a sermon on my computer titled "Thanksgiving is a verb". The pastor talks about how we should give thanks continually. In the Old Testament God assigned certain people the job of giving thanks; that was their only job, to say "Thank you God". Sometimes we need to be reminded how much God likes to hear it, and I think that's what Thanksgiving is for.
