The reason they say the niv is corrupted is because it uses the septegaint and not the hebrew text but from what we know about the bible the New Testament quotes the septegaint and not the hebrew so people who have fault with that I would ask if the New Testament is faulty because it was not translated fom hebrew scriptures into greek. Others have fault with it because it is inclusive. I like it and it is easy to understand and is the translation I use on here to teach from.

wasnt there other bibles before the king james version came?
Yes, Luther translated into German a bible.

Tyndale into English.

Wycliffe before Luther and Tyndale into English.
John Rogers one time under Tyndale, translated into English another bible.

Thomas Cramner had a bible translated into English.

There was the Geneva Bible, translated in Geneva, Switzerland.

i dont see how it can be satantic , its just easier to read? wasnt there other bibles before the king james version came?
Oh No. The NIV is not easier to read. It is actually more difficult to read. Check out the[FONT=Arial, helvetica] average reading grade levels that the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Indicator showed for each of the four translations it ranked in comparison to the Authorized King James Bible.

http://www.av1611.org/kjv/kjv_easy.html

Sure there were other English Bibles before the King James Holy Bible. You have Tyndales' New Testament (1526), The Coverdale's Bible (1535), The Matthew's Bible (1537), The Great Bible (1539), The Geneva Bible (1560), The Bishop's Bible (1568).

My friend told me about KJV Onlyism that is where i read it all from i understand it all now thank you guys God bless you!
Keep in mind that there are alot of representation of King James Onlyism and so one site cannot speak for all of what King James Onlyism believes just as there are alot of representation of christianity where there are extremists even in that.

I believe in relying on the King James "only" because of the "meat" maintained within in order to keep the faith which is the good fight, because the small changes in ALL modern Bibles allow false teachings to stem from them and can and has led many believers & churches into apostasy.

It does not mean that all those that use modern Bibles has been led astray, but that false teachings are out there that are stemming from them to lead them astray.

I did give an example on how I was personally led astray with that one verse I had mentioned in the NASB and how the church has led me astray using that one verse in the NIV earlier in this thread.

That is why I believe Jesus promises that those that loved Him would keep His words, and I believe the source documents from Antioch where the disciples studied for a year is more liable to keep His words than the source documents from Alexandria where poetic licensing and gnosticism has been known in the area. Seeing the differences between the KJV & other modern Bibles shows where and why they did not love Him to keep His words as His disciples whereas His disciples did for the KJV.

I had another Bible that is NIV provided by me by Liberty Home Bible Institute course that was for reading the Bible through the year. I still have it. It would take a reading of OT, then some Proverbs. a Psalm or a portion of a Psalm, depending on how long it is, a reading from the NT, and then some small lesson derived from one of the readings in the OT or NT to apply for the day's reading, and divided that Bible up like that to read each day for the whole year to read.

I had liked it, and had always read it at night before bed, but then came the crsis of faith after reading a verse that placed the emphasis on me, but the Lord reminded me to check with the KJV and I found the correct translation wherein the emphasis was on the Lord, and my peace and hope was restored.

I still have that Bible, but I have placed it on the shelf, & read the Psalms in the KJV, & whenever he leads me, I read whatever He has me turned the page to in the NT.

I can understand the anger of KJV onlyism and because they do not like people messing with His words, they go overboard and blast away at other Bibles when really, they should be just showing how it is not keeping the meat of His words and show why relying on the KJV for continuing in His words to be His disciple, is how anyone can reprove false teachings, especially in the latter days when faith is hard to find.

Even though I am dependent on the Lord Jesus Christ for being my Good Shepherd to help me to follow Him, I do rely on the King James Bible "only" for keeping the faith which is the good fight, because I want to continue in His words to be His disciple, testifying of the Son in seeking His glory and not be a disciple of something else, testifying of whatever in seeking the glory of that other in His name which is not the Son Himself.

Pray about this. As there are KJVonlyism extremists that turn seekers for the truth off, there are just as many anti-KJVonlyism that try to make seekers gloss over the changes in the verses as if it is nothing when it is obviously declining from the testimony of the Son in seeking the glory of the Son as found in the KJV.

But God sent me this one and its NIV ?
God is not a Bible Literalist fundamentalist.

Which is probably why he directed you to the NIV.

All this squabbling other are doing about translation is not God's work.

There are two different sources from which all Bibles are translated from. The Majority text which is where we get the KJV and the minority text which is where we get the NIV and other modern Bibles.

To be honest, I prefer the kjv bible but the niv version is a lot easier for me to read. there is nothing wrong with the niv bible, I just personally feel that the kjv goes a little more in depth, if that makes sense. Usually I need someone to explain to me the scripture in the kjv version though =)

God knew you wanted a "pink" Bible and He, through this woman gave it to you. Read it... This is what God wants you to have.

The NIV bible is not okay. It attacks the deity of the Lord Jesus in the following places:

1 Timothy 3:16, Micah 5:2, Daniel 3:25, Colossians 1:16, Philippians 2:6, Matthew 8:2, Matthew 9:18, Matthew 15:25, Matthew 18:26, Matthew 20:20, Mark 5:6, Mark 15:19, and I could give you many, many more.

Any bible version that perverts and attacks the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that bible version is not okay to use and read. That very modern version is poison and corrupt. And I repeat, any bible version that attacks Jesus Christ is not of God! It is not of the Holy Spirit.

All modern bible versions are corrupt and they are of the devil.

The lie that the NIV is easier to read has tricked and fooled many Christians into believing that they can understand the modern versions a lot easier. Sad thing is is that most Christians have took hold of that bait.

Now If your lost and on your way to Hell, then you are not going to understand the King James Bible because 1) the King James Bible is a Holy Book. So if a man buys himself a King James Bible, for him to understand it like he should, first if he is not saved, then he needs to get saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and second, he needs to ask the Holy Ghost to open his eyes that he may understand the things which are written in the King James Bible. The lost world has always rejected the King James Bible.

The lost world doesn't mind the NIV, ESV, NLT, Message, Amplified, and the other modern bible versions because the modern versions conform to the world.

But it is the King James Bible which the lost world has always hated.

If you are a Christian and you want to understand the King James Bible more, then you need to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to open your eyes like David did in
Psalm 119:18:

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. - 1 Corinthians 2:14 (King James Bible)

If you want God's pure words, then you need to get yourself a King James Bible. And read it, believe it, study it and put the things you learn in it into practice. The King James Bible is of the Holy Spirit. It brings honour to the Son.

The modern versions like the NIV dishonor the Son.

Why is the kjv the best translation? I ask you to be careful with your words, because saying that people who do not understand it are not saved is deadly. As long as you are reading the true gospel, than it is not of the devil, or of the world. I have read both versions, and both speak of the same things, just with different words. The niv bible does not attack God. To say that everyone that reads it are not saved is a deception in itself
