"The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him
And delivers them."
Psalm 34:7.

The Bible tells us they are real! Beings, as real and as individual as you and I. Created by God, to serve and do His bidding. After the fall of man, God sent angels to guard the tree of life before anyone had died. If angels are dead people, where did those angels come from? God created man "a little lower than the angels." Psalm 8:5; Hebrews 2:7. So angels are a higher life form than people. Not only a higher life form but a different life form. Angels are not dead people.

Daniel saw more than 100 million angels near God’s throne. Daniel 7:10. "Thousands upon thousands of angels," says Hebrews 12:22.
How Strong Are They?
"Angels that excel in strength," "ministers of his, that do his pleasure." Psalm 103:20, 21, KJV.
They have super strength! One angel killed 185,000 armed soldiers in one night. One angel is stronger than a whole army!
"That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp." 2 Kings 19:35.
"And the Lord sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace." 2 Chronicles 32:21.
What Do Angels Look Like?

Angels have "the appearance of a flash of lightning." They are overwhelmingly blindingly bright, and can travel faster then anything we can imagine. Ezekiel 1:14, KJV.

What do we know about angels? Is anyone interest to know?

They are created beings and are ministers unto the heirs of salvation. :)

Yes, they are ministers for/to us!!

As for the angel that appeared at the Savior's tomb, his face appeared "like lightning," and "his clothes were white as snow." The appearance of this angel so petrified the mighty Roman soldiers with fear that they fell down and "became like dead men." Matthew 28:3, 4.
Will They Protect Me?
God appoints a guardian angel to every follower of Christ. "Does Job fear God for no reason?" Satan asked. "Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. " Job 1:9, 10.

"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them." Psalm 34:7.

"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:10.

Are there "Evil Angels"?

Lucifer and his angels are called demons or evil spirits.

The New Testament clearly states the fact that men have been possessed by demons -- evil angels.

"A woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil spirit came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter . . . Then He told her, . . . the demon has left your daughter. She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone." Mark 7:25-30.

"Then they brought Him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute [speechless], and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see." Matthew 12:22.
"My name is Legion: he replied for we are many." Mark 5:9.

"My son . . . is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. . . . When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. . . . He rebuked the evil spirit. ‘You deaf and mute spirit,’ He said, ‘I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.’ The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out." Mark 9:17-26.

I have an interesting thing that happened to me one night many years ago when my daughter was young and we were living in a house on the not so good side of town.

A man knocked on my door and as I was not in the habit of just opening the door to anyone I asked him through the door if I could help him. Our house was on a busy street and if his car had broken down I would have called for help for him. I could not understand what he was trying to say to me so I tried to open my window next to the door to hear him better. I lifted with all my strength but the window would not budge. That was strange to me because that window opened with no problems before. I tried several times but the window just would not open. So I yelled through my door to the man to go next door to my neighbor Arthur to get help.

The next day wondering to myself what was wrong with the window I went back to try and open it and it opened right up with no trouble. My conclusion was that the man on the outside intended to do me harm or rob me and my guardian angel had prevented me from opening the window. I just thanked God for His protection.

Post #7 was not seeing an angel but feeling protected by one.

This happened to me when I was driving my car. I was approaching a traffic light and my car stalled while it was still rolling. It was rush hour and I just said to the Lord - Please don't let people start honking at me as I was already stressed because the car was stalled. I saw a gas station that had a slight incline going into it so I thought if the car will keep rolling when I get to that incline I will jump out and push it into the gas station lot.

I cracked open my car door so I could see when the car got to that incline and when it did it kept going with power instead of loosing momentum - I looked up and there was a man pushing the car into the gas station lot with the biggest smile and white teeth that I have ever seen.

All of this happened in like 20 or 30 seconds and I was amazed since the car had never come to a complete stop and no one knew I was having trouble except for God since I had just talked to Him asking for people not to honk and make me nervous. I sat in the car for a moment then my daughter and I went to the ladies room to think about what to do next. While I was in there it dawned on me that I had not thanked the man for his help. So I went to see if I could find him and he was gone.

My daughter and I got back into the car said a prayer that it would start and it did. Later I even took it to someone to check out and they could not find anything wrong with the car and it was fine. I believe it was an angel who helped me and again I thanked God for His help.

So Yes I do believe there are angels.

Jesuslives your accounts made me joyous! Praise God for His host of protecting angels! and that He allows us to know it without a doubt. I too have had similar things happen, and sometimes it is so obvious. I pray that believers will remember that Our Redeemer holds all things together, and if His eye is on the sparrow how much more does He watch over us? Just to drive in the city you have to wonder why there are not more accidents, everyone is so preoccupied and in a hurry. It's God who sends His angels keep watch over us!:)

My mother died when I was 8 and my father died when I was 12 - I am now 59 and I can without a doubt tell you that I have felt God's protective umbrella over me all of my life. God does look out for widows and orphans and I praise Him for His love and protection in my life. Thanks for your post.

Without God's protection and angels working overtime for me, we would not be having this conversation.

My dad was killed in the Kerr McGhee mines in New Mexico when I was almost three and my brother two...He has definitely been a Father to the fatherless. Thank God

I truly understand your loss - God has been so patient with me over the years - unfortunately I have been a rotating door Christian meaning in and out of church. I didn't understand salvation and had been raised by well meaning Christians but a little (or a lot) on the legalistic side of things. So I never felt that I was good enough because I couldn't keep all the rules and I'd get discouraged and walk away. God explained salvation to me at 56 and I have been walking with Him ever since. I am so thankful that God looks at His Son Jesus and not at my sinful life anymore. What a relief. Sorry derailed the Angel post. But praise God for His love in our lives and protection.

Yep all the people of past wars and times like 911 they all had angels guarding them. Especially all those of the Holocaust. Ignorant....just plain ignorant. Evil works manifest....the Lord once again removing truth and devolution of the spirit continues.
