Re: OSS = ONCE SAVED, SAVED!

That is false, Kenneth, all sins are forgiven to the one who trusts Christ as Savior. He paid for them all on the cross.

Kenneth you are making things up that are not in Heb 6:4-9.

What is serious straying from the truth is to suppose that a man who hears the promise: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & you shall be saves, then believes, would not then be saved -- as if God would break His word.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

It is walking in sin to deny the Savior & downgrade Him to chance-giver. It is absurd for those who are ever going on about walking in sin to deny the only way of escape from sin. Denying that Christ is the Savior will not help any one escape from sin. Telling people not to trust the Lord with their eternal destiny does not reduce sin.

For an unsaved man who trusts in self-righteous good works for salvation (like water baptism) to lecture the saints on how their theology causes sin, is absurd.

If you are ever to escape sin, including that of denying eternal security (the content of salvation), you must plead spiritual bankruptcy and depend on the Savior.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

It is clear the whosoever believes in Him has everlasting life and does not come into condemnation. This salvation must be instantaneous in that it is a new birth, a recreation and only depends upon trusting the SAvior (not the chance-giver). One either is a saint or an ain't. The moment a non-believer becomes a believer, he must be saved, for scripture guarantees salvation to the believer. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. It is clear that the Philippian jailer was at once saved, for he believed.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

He said put aside useless debates, not endless debates.

The reason this was said was because people would debate issues that do not have anything to do with salvation; like how old is the earth, when the rapture happens, and dinosaurs, and so on.....

Debates when it comes to ones salvation is not useless. Those who have just mere belief are not in a saved position, those who have true faith which is shown by their works/deeds ( producing good fruit ) are in a saved position.

We are trying to make sheep out of those who are walking around as goats ( mere believers ).
True, to a point. Useless debates was the focus. Endless debates are useless. Meaning those which go on endlessly repeating themselves with no resolution. That's about as useless as it gets, tying oneself up trying to convince someone of something they're never going to believe, while they tie themselves up trying to convince you of something you're never going to believe, all the while whilst the prayer requests are met with mostly crickets. The other thread is 193 pages long, with 7 pages of revelation and 186 pages of useless repetition. If you haven't convinced them over there, I highly doubt you're going to do so over here. The only thing that has changed is the water cooler.

Paul always hated this kind of thing. Back and forth back and forth... it's the enemy occupying your hands while you could be out bringing real salvation to those who are actually open to it. So agree to disagree, shake hands on it, and while your brother's hand is in yours agree to agree on lifting someone unrelated before God in prayer together. That's what Paul liked to see in his churches - unity to provide instead of endless debate to divide.

I haven't seen anyone prove that ones salvation can be lost... no matter how the person lives.
You cannot lose what you don't have...If you have something you can lose it....

"Losing salvation" implies one of two things, that one can by accident misplace their salvation, or that one's salvation can be taken away from them as punishment.

I don't believe in OSAS, but neither do I believe one can "lose" one's salvation. However, one can throw it away.
