Will the Rapture (Changed and Caught Up) Event Be Invisible or Visible?

I have often heard it preached that the rapture will be "secret" or that people will "disappear."
If you don't like the word rapture, I am talking about when the "dead in Christ rise and those that are alive are changed in the twinkling of an eye and made immortal, and rise and meet the Lord in the air" which is a mouthful so please allow me to call it the Catching Away for brevity sake.

When this "Catching Away" event occurs (regardless of the timing of the tribulation) do you think that there is scriptures that support that it will be secret and invisible to the unbelievers or do you think that there are scriptures that support that it will be visible?

In my opinion I think that there are scriptures that support that it will be a visible event and unbelievers will see the saints shine like stars or bright transfiguration like Jesus on the mount as they are changed and rise. See some of these scriptures that I think support this idea below.

If you think there are scriptures that support the idea of a secret, invisible "Catching Away" can you present them. I am not saying that there are none, I imagine there must be for it to have gained such a popularity and I would love to examine them.

I know mine are speculative and I imagine the invisible theory is also speculative and so maybe I have missed the scriptures that hint at an invisible event.

Some of the scriptures that give me the idea that the "Catching Away" will be a visible manifestation of shining light in each saint that is transfigured and changed in the twinkling of an eye:

Daniel 12: 2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above;a and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

Matt 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Mark 9:
1And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. (Matthew says " till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. "
2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. 3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

2 Peter 1
16For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

2 Thess 1

his is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— 6since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels 8in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away fromb the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, 10when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

Paul may have been alluding to this also when he spoke about the manifestation of the sons of God and also references in Eph about our future glory.

14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I fully agree that the event will be in the twinkling of an eye, but the birth pangs below will precede this event of the second coming.

Luke 21:25-28KJV
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Revelation 6:12-17KJV
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Scripture teaches at this time the earth is dissolved by fire, the righteous pass through the fire, the wicked are caught in it for eternity, the Lake of Fire

On the other side of the Lords fire is. the eternal kingdom, New Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem

1 Corinthins 3:13KJV
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Do you think that when they rise up in the clouds that it will be visible? Timing of other events is not the question.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved
, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Malachi 3:2KJV
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Psalm 50:3KJV
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: The change is in the twinking of an eye, then after the change they rise up in the clouds. The rising up in the air is not a twinkling the change was a twinkling, it already happened and THEN they rise and meet the Lord in the air.
Do you think that will be visible or invisible? They are changed and then they rise. Some teach it that they go invisible mode and rise and no one can see them rise. I think it will be visible that they will shine and people will see them rise. Stay on this one verse if you can. Maybe you need to reread the OP. You are way off topic. If you don't have an opinion on "shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: " being visible or invisible or if you cannot comprehend my question, it is ok. Never mind.

Mortal Earthly To Eternal Glorified Happens In The Twinkling Of An Eye, Judgement Is Complete, Eternity Begins

I dont really understand what you are looking for, the earth behind the changed believers is gone

Scripture teaches that the Eternal kingdom is tangible, houses, vineyards, rivers, fish, fishermen

I dont believe trying to evaluate a (Blink) a fraction of second has real value?

Revelation 10:6KJV
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54KJV
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Will the Rapture (Changed and Caught Up) Event Be Invisible or Visible?
It will indeed be invisible to the unbelieving world.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Heb 11:5)

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Forget about it. It's not that hard.

The event from mortal earth and man, to eternal earth and glorified man, will be in the twinkling of and eye, a blink, and you ask if it's going to be visible :)

Jesus returns in the heavens in fire and Final judgement, I pray you can grasp the truth presented below

This Existing Heaven And Earth Will Be (Replaced) By The New Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem, A New Creation, At The Return Of Jesus Christ!

(Behold, I Make All Things New)

2 Peter 3:10-13KJV

Revelation 21:1-5KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Matthew 24:29-30KJV
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

1 Corinthians 3:13KJV
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Luke 17:29-30KJV
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9KJV
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God
, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Malachi 3:2KJV
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Psalm 46:6KJV
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Psalm 50:3KJV
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Psalm 97:5KJV
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Isaiah 66:15KJV
15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Nahum 1:5-6KJV
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

Revelation 20:9KJV
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Jesus framed the rapture pre flood and used Lot also as prejudgement.

You frame it opposite.
Post flood/judgement.

You have removal/harvest post flood/judgement.

Scripture has no such dynamic in the rapture.

But carry on. ...unbiblically.

No such thing as a pre-trib rapture found in the scripture, nowhere

Jesus Christ return in fire and Final judgement, dissolving this earth by his fire

Will the Rapture (Changed and Caught Up) Event Be Invisible or Visible?
This may sound silly at first but it might put the problem into perspective... "How about the first arrival of Christ...was it Visible or Invisible?"

And as for the catching away, I think people misunderstand (almost entirely) what is being said... like when Jesus said they must eat his flesh and drink his blood... so I personally will just point them to God to gain the understanding on what it would LOOK like.

I agree, a blink isn't that hard to understand in regards to time

I think that the manifestation of the sons of God will be visible and they will shine like the stars and people who were not ready will have that "oh no" moment and those that persecuted them will have that "oh no, I'm going to catch it now" moment.

It is God's plan to glorify his saints with the glory that he showed them on the mount of transfiguration. Not invisible. A MANIFESTATION in not invisible.

:) Oh Yeah!

The wicked will have eternity to view the righteous, as they are burning in the fire

Sorta like the rich man and Lazarus parable coming to life.

Isaiah 66:22KJV
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Revelation 14:10KJV
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Do you think they will disappear or remain visible?

The manifestation would be before each other and the angels.

I think your question is answered by our Lord Jesus' Rapture.

Acts 1:9-11:
9 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Matthew 24:30 (KJV)
30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

Acts 1:9 says that He was "taken up". That indicates that He did not do it out of His own power. So also verse 11. Then "a cloud received Him out of their sight". So our Lord was visible from the ground until he disappeared into the clouds. Also, if He was visible till the clouds, then He was taken up at a leisurely pace. How many people at an airshow, quickly lose sight of a jet fighter as it soars up and into the clouds. So our Lord probably went up much slower that that.

This is strengthened by the description of His return in Matthew 24. He bursts out of the clouds and is seen by "all the Tribes of the Land". First there is a "sign". What it is is not said, but it will attract attention to the clouds. Then, the Tribes, having looked at the "sign", will be able to follow His progress until He touches down on Mount Olives. So also Elijah.

2 Kings 2:11-12 (KJV)
11 "And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces."

The evidence shows that Rapture is a rather leisurely trip and can be seen and followed.
