often when we are reading other's posts, we will come upon one that grabs ahold of us
and moves us....it is usually very simple, direct, right to the point and, HONEST....

here's one that stuck a note for us:

Posthuman posted this:
'i deserve death. i deserve everlasting punishment. but He saw fit to show me mercy!
that's all i know - i hear, and believe, and rejoice!

Phil36,

what does sorrow mean .. so we have 'remorse' and now 'sorrow' .. Why do you think christians use these words..
did they pick them so they could change their meaning? Sorrow has a great meaning.

pickles,

When it comes to humility, I often look to when Jesus washed the feet of the apostles.
I ponder often why Jesus told them in time you will understand.

blue_ladybug,

I disagree that faith isn't real unless it's acted upon. Faith isn't activated by a certain event or something..
If you have faith even the size of a grain of salt, you can move mountains. :)

crossnote,

There was a time when high schoolers would easily know what those words signified.
Today, we have been dumbed down through the visual bombardment of the boob tube and you tube :p

RedTent,

Re: Humility, how important is it?
I have thought of the strength it takes to be meek! It is easy to stomp and storm, not your way Lord, don't ask THIS of me, I have things all figured out, I am very smart and that is how I see it.

When I look back on what I objected to so much, I see how God used it for good in His kingdom. Even those six months in bed that I thought so terrible, it gave me the time to delve deeply in His word and the riches were tremendous. I have often wondered why He took the daughter who lived her life so close to mine, she was only 21 when she left. But the night God gave her to me I was told that she was just lent for a little while, so I thank Him for the joy that girl gave while she was here.

Joidevivre,

In very simple terms, just watch the face of a person you have shown some simple kindness to.
And then tell me if that was meaningless. Or might it have changed a life?

mustard seed:)

Matthew 17:20
"Because of your little faith." He answered. "For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Faith is trusting in things unseen. It is something we do. It is intentional > action is required.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

To hope is to intentionally do something.

Romans 8:24
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

popeye,

God would never save you and leave you alone or powerless.

What you do is examine your walk, not your life.

Put God back in his throne,in your heart, and put him first.

All addicts take care...
