a drink once in a while makes one merry and thats good for soul???!!....well in that case,a lil bit of everything would make a person happy-unbelievers would say that. As for us-believers..GODS word makes one happy and it is good for soul and keeps that person going...and exactly whats with "I think makeup on a pretty women is wrong not a sin but no makeup on a ugly women is a sin"????!!!....makes no sense!! To be honest i never used makeup in my life and dont think that its really necessary....but thats just my opinion.
One day you won't be 16 and won't live in Kuwait.

Then you may decide makeup has its uses. lol

GreatCaw: sorry. I should have assumed that it was humorous. I am afraid that Cup's appalling lack of knowledge of the Greek and his refusal to admit it have made me overly defensive.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghhh

no worries

Yes, you do need the Greek, but you need to look to your interpretation. Oinos is wine, but the literal interpretation does not require that it only be applied to wine as the word itself is applied to all alcoholic drink. Do not abandon the original language because it requires more work....

I don't need the Greek, I have a English Bible, many people have died That I might open my english Bible and read the true word of God, I don't read greek in order for me to read greek I would have to have a man intrepet it for me, But look in your greek and see if it don't say:

2co 1:12For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

I don't need five different commentaries , a 100 different translations in five different langauges, in order to understand to word Of God for wisdom cometh from God, not how many languages we can speak or read.

well the Bible also says that God will be our strength But the Bible also says:

Pr 31:6Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

so if just drinking is the sin, then the Bible just said right before one dies to make him sin by drinking strong drink, the bible commanding us to cause someone to sin, I think NOT!!!!
