The "meaning of life" can and does have different meanings for different people; there is no one answer everyone can point to with certainty and drill down a meaning for this existence. Some of us would argue that life has no meaning at all, but what we might personally ascribe to it. So, why are we here?

There is only one reason we are here, and it is the same reason for the devout religious zealot as it is for the atheist. We are here to take a test. That’s it, nothing profound here. We exist, in these flesh bodies, for one reason and one reason only: to be tested by God. "This is a test . . . This is only a test."

Everyone alive today, and everyone who has died before us, have taken this test. No one is exempt from this test, save our Father’s election, (that is an entirely different subject). Furthermore, no one gets more than one shot at passing this test. We get our threescore and ten years (for some 50, for some 90) to pass this test and then the test ends.

And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9.27

This generation is obsessed with political correctness, so allow an elaboration on that scripture for social warriors by saying, “It is appointed unto men and women to live and to die once, and then judgment will be made on you.” Who’s judging, you ask? We will all appear before the judgement seat of Christ. Does He have the right to judge me, you ask? Of course He does, He and our Heavenly Father created you.

Adam's RIB, from which God created Eve, means "the curve or the arch" in the Hebrew manuscripts. DNA. Our Heavenly Father told us plainly: All souls are Mine! We need to believe our real Father when He tells us that, and we need to believe we are but strangers and pilgrims as we go through this flesh life.

So, and I cannot overemphasize the importance of this: please pass your test! It means eternal life in the most beautiful kingdom you might possibly imagine where everyone you meet is your best friend. You will want to be there.

God created man to live in the Garden and life for Adam was completely different from our life after Adam and Eve let sin loose in the garden. Now sin and death was let loose and both we and our world changed.

God immediately gave us a way to overcome death as we are told in Lev. 17: 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul.

So it seems to me that Christ and all He stands for is the meaning of our life, now.

Interesting post but are your thoughts here just that,a man's thoughts?I know the bible says we were created for HIS pleasure and I guess you Interpreted that and say we were created for a test And a test only.
Interesting post though but you will have to put some scriptures together line upon line to help me to understand better.

BTW Isn't the judgement seat of CHRIST and the white thrown judgement two different judgments? One for saints and one for those not regenerated/born again?

Sorry, while I think I see what you are trying to say, what I am reading I disagree with........... Maybe it is the use of the word "test." Dunno, but it doesn't set well with me and my belief in God.

I look at what God said, and I go with that...........

Genesis, Chapter 1:

26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29) And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30) And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

I see it differently. Not that we are not tested, for all things in God's creation are tested, but that scripture outlines the reason for creation and the reason for man in plain unambiguous language.

(1) The things made are to display God. Romans 1:19-20;
19 "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

(2) Man, the peak of this creation, has a fourfold purpose.
  1. He is to display God to the uttermost. He is thus created in the image and likeness of God (Gen.1.26-28)
  2. He is to subdue and rule the earth sea and sky (Gen.1:26-28, Ps.8:6-8)
  3. He is to "fence about" and "bring to order" (lit. Heb.) the Garden of fellowship between God and man (Gen.2:15)
  4. He is to be a "companion up to the standard of Jesus Christ" (a "help meet") (Gen.2:18, Eph.5:24-32)
The councils of God are immutable, so the Bible closes with a New ("renewed" - lit. Gk.) Earth, with a City (for ruling) coming from heaven to this earth, having the glory of God (image and likeness), which is fenced with a high wall and which is the Wife of Christ. It is made of Believers on a foundation of the first believers - the Apostles, Jesus being the chiefest foundation.

Hi Blik, I agree with your post. When the Lord went on the cross for us He defeated death, which is to say, the devil, as it is written in Hebrews 2:14 Atonement for our sins then went through Christ as He is the new covenant of Jeremiah 31. That said, we are still tested in our obedience, faith, and love for our Lord. Thanks for your input.

Hi Seed time. Of course they were my thoughts, but I must point out thoughts that were driven by the Holy Spirit, Who dwells in me. Was it not the same for Moses, Isaiah, Daniel, Peter, Paul or John? The Holy Spirit wrote the Holy Bible, not man. Insofar as the test we must pass, let me simplify it by saying we are here to choose between this world and GOD. That is our test, and there are a plethora of scriptures to back that up. Thanks for your input.

well, in that case, I believe there is a demand for cocaine and crystal meth in these hard times, maybe the lord wouldn't have an issue with you becoming very prosperous and taking up that sort of business? Then you can afford a nice long vacation at Las Vegas, I believer there are some really good burlesque dancers and pole dancers you could go and see. Jesus wouldn't mind apparently as there is no test.

Like someone else said.. I see what your saying but it can not be back up by the word. Satan in the garden.. was not meant to happen. The fall of man was never meant to happen. Were here to take HIS word to the world. So everyone hears He died rose to save them. We I believe truly don't believe. Well if someone next door or at School or work or the store.. are truly lost if they are not saved. And YOU and ME might be the only light JESUS they ever see. Well we will answer to the GOD that created them.

Like I said.. do you really believe they are lost if they do not believe in Jesus? And we do what? The 12 (with Paul) did. They gave up their lives for this.

The meaning of life is following the teaching of Jesus and supporting Gods network and honouring his wishes.
