What would you consider to be a successful ministry if someone should ask you? Maybe we would like to have a church full of people paying their tithes so that we can bless the poor, or maybe a home cell with Spirt filled people blessing you with word once or twice a week.

How about you preaching repentance for 120 years without having one conversion? A pretty dismal ministry by worldly standards but when looking in the Spirit we see Noah as this righteous man saved by God.

Or how about living in the king’s house for forty years, killing somebody and then fleeing for your life, being a herdsman for 40 years, leading God’s people for 40 years with people rebelling against God on a daily basis? In your ministry you also have to bury +-1,2million people over 40 years. This is an average of 83 people per day… who would have liked to have that ministry? From a physical point of view a dismal ministry but from a Spiritual side you are one of the biggest prophets the world has ever seen, and you are known as a friend of God.

Our ministry could look like a failure for people looking from the outside but where are you in your relationship with God? We should be careful of judging people’s ministry by worldly standards. Maybe God is using somebody to make a big difference somewhere :)

Many people would like to have certain ministries, however, we are called by God to follow his will of the ministry. Thats why some ministries has seen disasters, because it was not the true will of God, but of there own will. its important to follow God's will when dealing with certain ministries.

But you know? just telling people about God is a ministry in itself, and thats a good start for anyone to go into.

How 'bout this one. '..and He was despised and rejected of men'.

In the context of modern Christendom, if you truly move only when He moves you, and speak those things you've heard and seen, do not expect a welcome wagon.

The time is indeed here 'where they will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap unto themselves (false) teachers having itching ears'. 'Seminars, crusades, dvd's, books, incoming speakers, etc., etc..'but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth'.

Faith teachers, faith, prophets, faith apostles, faith pastors.....for what?? Jesus said 'verily will I find any faith when I return'?

Tell me He didn't say that!

So you want a Ministry? The word says that each of us has a ministry. Don't be to serious about 'truth' and your doors should open up wide open for what is labeled ministry today.

However, in His word, we are all to function in our ministries in the local assembly, 2 or 3 at a time, everything decently and in order. However, this is not aloud in organized religion as a rule.

Start a home fellowship based on scripture. This is where God will be found these days.

Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer". Greatest power behind any ministry. In fact, that is where ministry begins.

True indeed but I was with a 'church' years ago that prayed for revival for 25 years every Wednesday night. Never happened. That 'church' finally ceased to exist. Why?
Didn't have our scriptural dots lined up. Remember what happened to David when he halled the ark home the wrong way against God's clear instructions. I rest my case your honor!

Yeah no doubt...I have made a list like this before and by modern standards Jesus would have been a complete failure....every one of his disciples forsook him and even used foul language to deny that they knew him...Yet no other man has impacted history (all of human history for eternity) as he has and continues to do so.........

it is written,
LUKE 16:10.
He that is Faithful in that which is least is Faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

it is written, again, 'despise not the day of small things'.
that what-so-ever we DO, or where-so-ever we ARE, whether it is 'in season or out of season',
God WILL provide the ministry.

the question IS, whether we will STEP UP and MINISTER, or, whether we will 'keep silent'.

whether it is the 'check-out-girl' at wal-mart, or someone that we meet on the street, or a member of your church -

IF we SEE the OPENING, and don't take it, then we do 'dis-service' to the other person, ie, God.
and this will prove/show us that we have not been Faithful in that which is least.

Do not expect a promotion on Jacob's Ladder, but ask God for strength and courage to open your mouth,
the next time a 'ministering situation arises', for it will be in the 'small things', it will be of no significance
to anyone else, BUT, it Will be Significant to God.

as it is written,
'Come unto Me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest, take My yoke upon you,
and learn of Me, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.'
