Accept willingly the herald that Jesus brings to you, even if they don’t please to your eyes, ears, etc.

  • *“Remove your ways far from her [the strange woman], and do not come near the door of her house, that strangers not be filled with your strength, and your labors be in the house of a stranger;
  • and you moan when your end comes, when your flesh and muscle are eaten away, and say, How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction; and I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor bowed down my ears to those who taught me!” (Proverbs 5.8,10-13)* – What it was written in brackets was added in order to make easy the understanding.

Why do we go to bide our end comes, that is to say, when we get old and our flesh and muscles were eaten away? If there is something to change, the hour is now! Adjourn the solution only aggravate the problem.

We need to be sedulous in hearing what people teach us. Maybe Jesus is speaking through this person. Remember that the Creator used the mouth of an ass to speak with Balaam (Numbers 22.28) and that Jesus not always come to us in our time or of the way that we fancy (see the case of Naaman 2Kings 5.1-11) (see also the words of Jesus in Matthew 5.41-46).

We can’t be indifferent nor rebel to what people utter to us. We need to take seriously each opportunity that comes to us, seeking out in Jesus to figure out what is happening. Hating and despising instruction e correction only will make our labor to end up in the house of the enemies of Jesus (strangers to His teachings).

So, let’s not bide for illustrious people (for example, anointed pastors or gospel singers). Remember that are not many the mighty, noble or wise men are called by Jesus. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and God has chosen the base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, in order to bring to nothing things that are; so that no flesh should glory in His presence (1Corinthians 1.26-29).

In other words, have an elated week being happy and grateful for the people that Jesus brings to you.
