These are:

1) Clear in vision

2) Quick in hearing

3) Genial in Expression

4) Respectful in Demeanor

5) True in Word

6) Serious in Duty

7) Inquiring in Doubt

8) Self-Controlled in Anger

9) Just and Fair when the way to success opens out before him

Biblical Basis:

1) How to have a clear vision?

Psalms 19:8 The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

What will happen?

Matthew 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

If your body if full of light, you will not do anything offensive in the eyes of God and men.

2) Quick in hearing

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.

What should the servants of God hear?

John 8:47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

What should not be hear?

Proverbs 19:27 Cease listening to instruction, my son, And you will stray from the words of knowledge. (Any word that strays you from the Truth)

3) Genial in Expression

Matthew 10:16“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Be like doves who are peaceful, gentle and harmless.

1 Cor. 10:32 Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,

4) Respectful in Demeanor

1 Peter 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

What are its benefits if you do that?

Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;

2 For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart,

4 And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.

5) True in Word

Matthew 5:37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

What is the punishment if you're not true to your word?

James 5:12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.

6) Serious in Duty

Romans 12:11 Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

To be serious in duty, we must do our work with all our might (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

7) Inquiring in Doubt

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the Lord:

“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.

The old paths are the commandments of the Lord.

The thing which should not be inquired:

Deuteronomy 12:29 “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 12:30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’

8) Self-Controlled in Anger

Ephesians 4:26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 4:27 nor give place to the devil.

Proverbs 29:11 A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back.

Those who are slow to anger have great understanding (Proverbs 14:29)

9) Just and Fair when the way to success opens out before him

Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice you,Do not consent.

11 If they say, “Come with us, Let us lie in wait to shed blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;

12 Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, And whole, like those who go down to the Pit;

13 We shall find all kinds of precious possessions, We shall fill our houses with spoil;

14 Cast in your lot among us, Let us all have one purse”—

15 My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path;
