It is fair to say that Paul never got over the fact that he violently persecuted the Church. Even though his rampage against the first followers of Jesus had ended over 20 years earlier, as we read the position of his life in 1 Timothy, he still grieved because of what he had done.

But, as we look at his position in Christ, as he gets older, Paul was moved to celebration and praise because God's mercy is always greater than sin.

Do we believe that in our own position in Christ today? Make Christ your permanent position and He will lead you to the life of Jesus recognizing whom we are in Him. Recognizing the Fathers Character and grace that He gives us freely, but not without deep sacrifice on His part.

The Lord Jesus called Paul in the midst of his campaign against him so that he became a public display of Jesus' patient love. So, if we think somehow we are too far from God's mercy, then we should think again. If God can forgive us, and He does; even the filthiest of men and women how is it we shouldn't? Don't let Satan rob you of any of God's grace.
