How can we fulfill Christ’s law?

One of the things that makes difficult to abide by Christ’s commandment is because we refuse to comply with His calling:

• “Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls.” (Mat 11:28,29).

Observe that Jesus enjoin us to take His yoke. But, what is His yoke? The burden of each one:

• “For each one will bear his own load.” (Galatians 6:5).

After all, if Jesus took the yoke of everybody, therefore Jesus’ yoke is each one’s yoke. Hence Paul to have said:

• “Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2).

Probably you will ask: “but, why can’t I simply take care of my life? If I spend time with the burdens of other, who will sort out my predicaments?”.

If people around us is carrying a heavy yoke, they won’t be able to help us, even if they wish. On the contrary: they will be a weight in our life.

You can ask: but if the burden is heavy, who said that I will have condition of surmounting the problem of my neighbor? In virtue of the three Jesus’ promises:

• “Truly I say to you, Whatever you shall bind on earth shall occur, having been bound in Heaven; and whatever you shall loose on earth shall occur, having been loosed in Heaven.” (Mat 18:18).
• “Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as regarding anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven.” (Mat 18:19).
• “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst.” (Mat 18:20).

If you take the burden of other people and allow them to take your burden aiming Jesus’ glory instead of the interest of both (or better saying: if you see what really weights on Jesus’ head amidst the problem that people around you are undergoing, instead of getting caught in the feelings, thoughts and desires of yours and of people around you), the Power of Piety (see 2Tim 3:5) will make wherewith the burden of both of you looks like something picayune.

So, have a good day, don’t letting your problems be a barrier to separate you from people; rather, may they be an opportunity to you know other people with their problems so that, together, both of you can be known by Jesus and experience a new miracle in your lives.

To answer your question to the best of my Biblical knowledge . . . we do not fulfill the Law of Moses. That is the role of Christ and none other . . . as explained by Paul below:

Colossians 2:14-15 KJV - "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
