It doesn't mind what it takes place, don't turn backward:

• “...yea, she sighs and turns backward. Her uncleanness is in her skirts; she did not remember her end, and has gone down astoundingly. There is no comforter for her. O Jehovah, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.” (Lamentations 1.8,9).

Why do we cry out: “O Jehovah, behold my affliction”, once we know that He is ubiquitous? While there is uncleanness in our “skirts” it’s no use harping on about the magnifying of our enemies against us. What we need is to muster up all our alacrity and to invest in hours of prayer, meditation on the Holy Scripture and, above all, to turn down all the sin in our life.

But the the cares of this world, delights, the deceit of riches (Matthew 13.22) the lust about other things (Mark 4.19) make people forget their end. This searching of riches make people to lust more and more things in order to get delights and slip away from the power of the evil (Ezekiel 7.13; Habakkuk 2.9) make people hectic and lead them do away with Jesus and His love for the people around them.

Paul tried to warn us about it:

• “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should not walk from now on as other nations walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. For they, *being past feeling*, have given themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” (Ephesians 4.17-19).

When we lose our feelings, the denouement is inevitable: the person goes down astoundingly in thorough loneliness. After all, how can we hope that there is comforter for us if we didn’t cultivate our relationships, but ward off everyone that tries to approach of us, whether because we fear to be harmed or for lack of time?

So, muster up all your time, energy, etc. and go toward Christ and you will see that what you are living is very better than you were thinking and, in Jesus, will get very better than now (Romans 8.18). Have a day full of the supernatural peace of Christ (John 14.27).
