Selfishness.

Do you have a problem with it?

Most of us don’t think we do but we do. It’s in our DNA to be selfish and to put ourselves before everyone else.
And we are very good at putting up strong arguments for its cause.

Because of our fallen state selfishness has reigned on the earth. Who can escape it? People who eat too much think about themselves.
People who hoard their money think about themselves. People who lust after things they can’t have think about themselves. People who use their time for whatever think about themselves.

At the end of every agenda self is there waiting.

Jesus is the perfect example of smashing selfishness. He didn’t marry or have kids, he didn’t save. He never put himself first and always provided for everyone. Ultimately he didn’t sin so how could he be selfish as most sins are tied into it.

Not only was he not selfish or sinful but he chose to put others before himself always. He owned nothing and came to save us from ourselves and our selfishness that would lead us to Hell.

Thank God Jesus and the Holy Spirit lives in those who believe and leads us away from being selfish.

Not just in being a good person but having a transformed life where the Spirit of the unselfish Jesus Christ reigns in our minds and bodies.
God is patient with our selfishness but wants us to be like Christ.

Bring someone with you to heaven. Don’t come by yourself.
