There are so many people using this word as a form of defense for sin, a scapegoat.

The same kind of people who despise correction, content with stagnant faith, too prideful to admit that they could be wrong--so they say "DON'T JUDGE ME!"

Pointing out the error of a brother or sister in love is not judging them. How are we to grow if we do not know where we are going wrong or where we need work? How is a lost person to know that they are going in the wrong direction unless they see a sign or somebody points them in the right direction?

Before accusing anybody of judging us, we should first consider this:

Could this person simply be trying to help me? Is there a chance that what this person just said is true? It is possible that I am wrong? Before jumping on the defensive, take a moment to look deep inside and ask yourself and be honest: Is this something I need to change?

I know this all to well. We attach ourselves and the LORD's name to things we ought not to, and then when that shows to be non biblical we claim they are attacking us personally. When, in all reality, we are just questioning the theology behind it.

I do agree with your post however, often times those attempting to do the correcting do not do so out of love per say, but out of a sense of being right.

You're right crossfire, and in most cases it is evident of where the correction is coming from.
