Sometimes the Lord will ask you to spend on Hope.

He will provide you with something and then ask you to spend it, or release it. It could be something you really need or want or love.

This is what I call spending on hope. It is a reaching out in faith. No matter what, the LORD will always give you back what you have given up. It may not come back to you right away, nor in the same form as which you gave it, but you will always get goodness back from the LORD. Now that is not to be our reason for giving, don’t misunderstnd me. Some will only give if they think they are getting something back, and that is not selfless giving. Giving has to be a work of the Holy Spirit, led and promted by the Spirit, and for His purpose.

Rest assured though, The LORD always provides and takes care of His own. HE cannot be anything but just. It is against HIS nature.

This is why Abraham was able to go in faith and offer his son. He had faith that if God had asked HIm to do it, it was for a good reason, and that God would bring His son back to life! Because Abraham trusted God, HE provided the sacrifice.

God expects us to be able to do this.

We see this in the parable of the Good Samaritan. The Samaritian gives the inn keeper 2 pence and says that he will give him anything else that is owed when he returns. This tells us that there may be a cost and the inn keeper will have to pay it from his own pocket!

We have to be willing to pay too! That is part of Christian living for the LORD. There is a responsibility with belief and works of the Spirit.

The cost may be different for different people but rest assured The Good Samartian will pay the inn keeper.

All Glory and Honour is your Almighty Father through your Son, JESUS CHRIST!
