The Second and Third Bowl Judgments:

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You are just in these judgments, O Holy One,
You who are and who were;
for they have shed the blood of your saints and your prophets,
And you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”
And I heard the altar respond:
“Yes, Lord God Almighty,
true and just are your judgments.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I combined the second and third bowls, because they are similar and are severing the same purpose. At the pouring out of the second bowl, the reference to the sea, would be referring to all of the oceans on the earth being turned into literal blood, killing every creature in the sea. Remember that at the sounding of the sixth trumpet a third of the creatures in the oceans will have been killed by that huge mountain all ablaze hitting in one of the oceans. Now here at the pouring out of the second bowl, the result will be all of the creatures in the oceans dying.

Following that at the pouring out of the third bowl, all of the rivers and springs of water, representing all fresh water on the earth, is also turned into literal blood. This is reminiscent of when Moses, through God, turned the Nile into blood and not only the water in the Nile, but it also states that even the water that they had stored in vessels of wood and stone was turned into blood. So their stored water was also turned to blood so that they had no water to drink. It will be the same here at the second and third bowls, except God will be turning all the water on the earth into blood. I believe that will include all of the stored bottled water on the entire planet as well.

I believe that with the second and third bowl judgments taking place, God is going to be removing all drinkable water from the earth. First He turns the oceans into blood. I believe the reason for this is because, if God just turned the rivers and fresh water into blood, because of the technology of today, the world would turn to desalination of the oceans to get drinking water. Therefore, he turns both the salt water and all fresh drinking water into literal blood.

In support of this being literal blood, it is the statement of the angel who has charge over the waters whose response is as follows:

“For they have shed the blood of your saints and your prophets, And you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”

Therefore, since the inhabitants of the earth will have shed the literal blood of the saints and prophets, then God will be giving them literal blood to drink.

I think we should check the green leaf, as Jesus said, you see that spring has arrived, but yet you don't recongize the signs of the times. I really don't know about all this, but I believe many, and many of the things the bible speaks about, have and are happening even right now. " Be ready for ye know not the day or the hour when the Son shall return." Have your garments spotless, and unwrinkled, bv. As in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the last days. bv.

Hello Kalyna18,

Thank you for responding. The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments are the long prophesied "Day of the Lord," which should be interpreted in the literal sense and that because it is the time of God's wrath that will be poured out upon the earth during that last seven years leading up to Christ's return.

The reason that I did these posts on the seals, trumpets and bowls, is to show the severity of God's coming wrath, because we have too many people claiming that God is going to send his church through his wrath. With just the 4th seal and the 6th trumpet alone, over half of the earth's population will have been killed within the first 3 1/2 years and that is not including the fatalities as a result of trumpets 1, 2 and 3, nor of the fatalities caused by the bowl judgments. Not to worry though, for those who are in Christ will be gathered prior to those events of wrath.

This time of wrath can be summed up by when Jesus said:

"For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened."

Too many people down-play God's coming wrath, diluting it and thereby taking away its severity. Therefore, my post on the seals, trumpets and bowls judgments is a concrete teaching, not a possibility. These events of wrath with their results, are going to take place just as they are written. I just included a deeper meaning to show the severity of those events.

Since the first seal rider on the white horse symbolically represents the antichrist, and he has not yet been revealed on the stage of history, then we could not have yet entered into that time of wrath. For the revealing of the antichrist is what initiates the seals, followed by the trumpets and then the bowl judgments.
