The perfect recipe in order to trouble our own house (Part 1).

• “He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise in heart.” (Pro 11:29).

*1 - be bitter in regard to your family*. When we are upset with someone, many times, we pass over our dissatisfaction in order not to lose the friendship. Nonetheless, this only will accrete in us bad feelings which, in turn, will disturb our sight with regard to this person (Mat 6:22,23; Luke 11:33-36; Titus 1:15).

Thus:

• “…Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath,” (Ephesians 4:26).

*2 - provoke the others to wrath*. In special, many parents, in virtue of the commandment “honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12), thinks that they can cope with their children as it is good before their eyes. Nonetheless, see:

• “Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they be discouraged.” (Col 3:21).

Alike, it isn’t because the husband is the head of the home that he can mistreat his wife:

• “Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.” (Col 3:19)

Let alone the wife has the right of taking advantage of this commandment to affront her husband or revenge against him:

• “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as is becoming in the Lord.” (Col 3:18).

*3 - continually give out menacing words to those who don’t do what is required to them*. Although the discipline is important (chiefly in the life of children – for instance, Proverbs 19:18; 22:6,15; 23:13,14; 29:15), it is also important to teach to them to go beyond their obligation, inasmuch as only thus they can be truly useful to the Creator:

• “Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise you, when you shall have done all the things commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants, for we have done what we ought to do.” (Luk 17:9,10).

But above all, everybody that is under our command, needs to comply, not in virtue of the fear of the nemesis, but for their love for us, as well as for seeing that what we are enjoining comes from Jesus and it is for their well-being (see Eph 6:9).

So, have a good day fulfilling your role in your home pursuant to the Way of the Creator.
