What path are we walking in?
Are we walking in the fear of the Creator (which is the outset of the wisdom – Psalms 111.10; Proverbs 9.10; Job 28.28), or are we walking consonant the fear of the nations (Isaiah 8.12)?
Let’s us not all allow that the fear of the rabble bereave us of coming into our promised land (see Number 14.9). Let’s take as reference the behavior of Abraham:
On the one hand, He believed in the Creator and followed His voice, even though he didn't know what he should expect for (at least, in the outset). On the other hand, he didn’t create roots in the promised land, nor sought grow in the world, in virtue of he contemplating a better reward. Certainly he saw the same thing that Paul:
So, if you yearn for profitable days, walk in wisdom and rectitude in the fear of the Creator, going after the example of the Psalmist:
- “I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right paths.” (Proverbs 4.11).

Let’s us not all allow that the fear of the rabble bereave us of coming into our promised land (see Number 14.9). Let’s take as reference the behavior of Abraham:
- “ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he was afterward going to receive for an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he went. By faith he lived in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promise with him. For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Heb 11:9,10).
- “But this I say, brothers, The time is short. It remains that both those who have wives should be as not having one. And they who weep are as though they did not weep. And they who rejoice are as though they did not rejoice. And they who buy are as though they did not possess. And they who use this world are as not abusing it, *for the fashion of this world is passing away*.” (1Corinthians 7.29-31).
So, if you yearn for profitable days, walk in wisdom and rectitude in the fear of the Creator, going after the example of the Psalmist:
- “O Jehovah, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes lofty; nor have I walked in great things, nor in things too wondrous for me.” (Psalmist 131.1).
