What to do with regard to the way of the wicked?

  • “Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not into the way of evil. Avoid it; do not pass by it; turn from it, and pass on!” (Proverbs 4.14,15).

The impious, on a way or other, try to entice us to go after their ways (1Peter 4.1-4), whether luring us with wealth, trying to blow us up or making fun of us because we believe in Jesus Christ. Regardless the reason, behold what to do with the concepts and values of the ungodly.

The ideal is not to enter into their paths, but avoid them, even not pass by them:

  • “For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only *do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh*, but by love serve one another.” (Galatians 5.13);
  • “neither give place to the Devil.” (Ephesians 4.27);
  • “Abstain from every appearance of evil.” (1Thessalonians 5.22).

Nonetheless, if we already made a mistake of go into the way of evil, let’s turn from it immediately and pass on! Let’s not give sleep to our eyes, nor slumber to our eyelids until we deliver ourselves of the hands of the sinful and of their paths (see Proverbs 6.3-5). Let’s non’t bide until the next day, because maybe the day wherein our soul will be asked can be at hand (Luke 12.20).

So, go over all this and have a good day in Christ Jesus.
