Comes a lot of responsibility. At times it is OK to speak about work, as others I can not express anything about it too much. So, I will be careful within this post to not say any names. I have not been told anything, it is my own doing to put a hush on certain things. In case I need to.
This is better because that way, nothing gets started. I hold a huge valued respect to one of the “higher ups.” We have been talking, this one supervisor who claims that they do not play favorites has threatened my job.
OK, be as it may it happens. This is why. I told this particular supervisor about a situation, their only response was this, “I was not on the floor, I did not see it.” OK, kind of odd because supervisors must take very claim serious. Therefore, this supervisor claims they do not play favorites, to as? They do.
They took up for the person who was turning the speed up on the line so the new hires could not work. She complains that it is going too slow, she even tried to get one new hire removed from the line. Sorry kiddo, that will not work. Since I am part of the safety team, I wrote it up since the supervisor refuses to go in line with their job and keep watch.
Mind you, not many people like this supervisor. They declare that they do not scream, or hold favorites. Then why put a chicken in-front of my friend’s face and yell at him? Therefore, I wrote the team member up for the unsafe hazard to as where the supervisor stated it is not unsafe.
I explained to the “high up” that it is a safety hazard because if a new hire was cutting the necks with the gun, the team member in question turns up the speed. The new hire chases the bird down the line to try to cut the neck, and guess what? A person gets cut. Oops, what happened? A serious problem where to as my “higher up” and I agree is a domino effect.
The cut new hire starts filing lawsuits against each person, and a big mess happens. So? Who is in the wrong as I declared in the meeting with the “high up” and their boss, the supervisor is seriously wrong.
I even told them a few other things that I refuse to post here. At least not now , of course. It is my responsibility to promote safety and report any and all unsafe acts. However, in my training no one other than a supervisor can change that speed.
Therefore, since this supervisor said that they care about safety? Na, not hardly. IF they did, they would very well care about my report. Therefore? I went to the higher source that I can.
Tonight I will be at work, we shall see what happens tonight. My buddy wants to quit so bad he can not stand it. I asked him to please hang in there because we need the help. i also do not want to loose his presence in my department.
Do I act like a supervisor at times when I should not? Well yeah, even the other supervisor knows it. They say nothing about it, this is why. The one supervisor that I mentioned, they are hardly on the floor. So what happens is? Fair game.
You know what is funny though? The people work for me when I ask them to do something to help they do it. I am NOT mean about it. I treat how I am treated. When the one side of the training line messed up, I said guys you need to go to the other side until this one is finished so we can keep moving. They never complained, they did it.
I never knew a supervisor could very well walk around like my old training partner and do absolutely nothing. Like I told my “high up” I have no respect for that one supervisor because? They do not enforce, they just walk around and shoot the breeze with their homies.
So needless to say, I told the “high up” this one thing.

“It is like I told the other supervisor, give me that jacket for one night. I will show that other supervisor how the job is done”
