We really need to be careful what we believe concerning photos. Photoshop is a very powerful computer program used to edit photos and can be used to deceive. I have posted 2 photos that I have enhanced / altered with photoshop. The change in the first is obvious - squirrels don't ride motorcycles.

The second isn't quite as obvious but is deceptive none the less as what is shows is not what was photographed. Feel free to post if you see the deception.

So seriously folks, do not believe everything you see when photos are concerned. Ask questions!

That part was an accident.

The flower is actually an Easter lilly. They are white not blue so it is the color that is the deception.

Seriously folks, question the authenticity of photos.....

Oldman made this thread in response to a specific incident that occurred here. So to answer your unnecessary post, yes this is relevant. "I guess this is relevant" is how I feel about a lot of your posts, however.

I was too fascinated by the "snake" in the flower to pay attention to the rest, but for all I know it might look like that.

Well I mean lets be honest, with no context a thread explaining the 'danger;s of photoshop in the family forum is a little awkward and confusing. I for one never knew photoshopping was an issue.

Thanks Jim - glad you understand what I getting at with this. I have run across other instances where people have simply accepted altered photos as fact. It's dangerous to do so.

All photos are real.
All youtube videos are truth.
All news stories are based on fact.

You don't know this? jk

oldman, these youngsters can't see life from the perspective of us elderly folks. ;)
In our youth, we took film to be developed, and the only person clever enough to alter a photo was the developer, and very few of them.
It was also pretty apparent when a photo had been changed, right? :)

Beth--you make me laugh. Thanks. ♥ (but...wait...aren't all youtube videos true?? ;) )

Oh, and btw--if the squirrels at my birdfeeders are any indication, they would be the dominant species if they had opposable thumbs! lol

(I do think they're secretly planning world domination. Honestly. They're as cunning as can be! Polititians can't even begin to comapre with squirrels!) :)
