I quit going to the bible discussion forum because it seemed anytime someone asked a question, sooner or later someone wants to start a argument. We can agree to disagree without hurting people feelings or demeaning them.

Now on the family forum someone ask a question that is serious and emotional to them. Most people are helpful and giving good advice. Then you got people who want to make a argument about it and make people feel weak. Instead of encouragement.
We can all learn from other people with Christian love. I always try to offer friendly and uplifting words to people, even if I don't agree with them.
If you don't like my point of view, that's fine! You won't have to hear from me again

The BDF in particular has a long history of that behavior. Years ago the site as a whole, other than the BDF, was more chill, fun and friendly. Eventually the BDFers began spreading into other areas and brought that vibe with them.

Yea, that's how it is. I don't like it either, but there isn't much one can do about it.

I agree. I have been insulted too many times and don't like some of the comment made about me. Thank you

Who knows. Maybe I'm one of them haha. I have issues with frustration. But I'm aware of it and work at it. But I can shoot my mouth off at times on here unfortunately.

I would be sad to see you go.. You seem to me to be a really nice person MrH59..

There is a simple solution to deal with people who respond to you in an unchristian way.. Put them on Ignore setting and move on.. That why you will not have to read their posts anymore..

Thanks I’ll be sure to do that. It’s sad that on a Christian forum you have to ignore someone because they can’t be friends

My advice: don’t let it get to you. At the end of the day, there’s only one judge to impress and that’s God :)

I’ve left the BDF many times. I’ve barely been there in months. Years ago, it was Well moderated, and good doctrine was demanded. That still left a lot to discuss.

I found it sad it has gone so far downhill. I get very argumentative, not just there, but in real life, so it is important I don’t get there. But there are still other good forums here, so don’t give up yet!

Good morning,

My spirit was sadden to read your post. Don’t allow someone else’s misery or misguided faith steal your joy.

I can tell that you Are delighted to be the light for those going through dark spaces and how you revive Christ through his teaching will be different from others so your interpretation and views are important.

I’ve not been on here long but I have also ran into “those people”. You know people looking to be right, tear someone down, legalistic, the “perfect” Christian and I stand firm in my beliefs and values and know that I have a purpose.

So know that the people you are suppose to reach God has given you this avenue and those people looking to hurt you just don’t even respond. I say check your gut meter. When I read something and my gut says...this person’s post is looking for a fight...I skip it or when someone responds to me in a way they are looking to be RIGHT and they being legalistic in their approach; I move on and don’t give them a reaction. It will only give them a platform to...keep going!

So anyway, I hope that I have inspired you to keep sharing God’s love and heart for the broken. People on hear need that!!!

Well folks we are in a war against evil people. We are to be like soldiers and endure hardships. The conflict is not for the weak but for those who are equipped with the whole armor of God.

There is no shortage of sob stories on the internet. Are we to promote this kind of behavior or have compassion and provide help? Quite a number of people only seek help after they have made a mess of things. They do not want to correct their behavior only to have God remedy their hurt which was self inflicted.

Many Christians need to learn the difference between empathy and sympathy. We must be sensitive to the hurt but not condone the behavior that created the hurt.

We cannot be milk toast Christians but we must acquit ourselves like men. Take a stand for right and do not compromise with the wrong. Some people can only learn through pain and suffering.

For the cause of Christ

Thank you for your encouragement, I do feel GOD has led me to this forum to share his love for me with others, It's people like you that help keep me focused on that. I have been guided by others also to ignore these people who have a mean spirit. although they might be right there are kind ways to say it. Again thank you and GOD bless you!!!!
