For not all are Christian here. Although this should not be a big problem, for over time, people will see what kind of a person who is. We all have our weaker days, have trashed in our hearts due to lack if belief. Hopefully we can become each other's,s trash burner.

What's the last word on the title of this thread - catatonic? Oh, I snap out of it after I have my first cup of coffee for the day.

Labels are approximately as deep as a thin piece of paper.

Hypocrites, actors, actresses and other pretenders can label themselves all sorts of ways.

Search the definition of 'chthonic' on Google and you'll get your answer. It relates to the underworld and its inhabitants.

Words reveal the heart. There are people on this forum who can claim to be Christian all they want, but their words demonstrate otherwise. Jesus said in Matthew 12:37 - For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. This is because words give evidence for, or against a man's being in a state of grace and righteousness.

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?

We are new creations in CHRIST everyday our walk will have it's challenges and just like as a parent of a child who chastisses that child for doing wrong, to bring about a change for the better GOD our FATHER chastisses us, I believe that means we already have a trash burner.

An interesting situation for non-Christians. The profile allows: Christian, not Christian, and unsure.
"Not Christian" would include JW's, agnostics, atheists, satanists, occult in general. "Christian" can include cults that follow Jesus but would offend some mainline Christians.

Actually I can think of some that can't come here, like JWs, who are prohibited from reading anything Christ Jesus or contrary to JW in any way. They fear being found out and shunned. We work around a few JWs that will quickly leave the room if that name is named, or prayer is given in Jesus' name.

You know them by their fruits. Best to let them think nobody else knows. God has them here for a reason. Some are going to get saved despite their best efforts to tempt those who are freely witnessing for Christ

I am a person and not a category. I have a mind and a will and emotions and frequent new ideas.

Categories pre-dispose observers to prejudiced assumptions and filtering out a message rather than hearing and considering the message and being open to a reasoned dialog.

I seek to maintain loyalty to Jesus Christ but am willing to act independently from the category of any political party or church denomination.

I have all my body parts intact and operating. But suppose my tongue decided to hitchhike across country, independent of me. I would be lacking an important part, and the tongue would be dying while making great speeches to itching ears that also were hitchhiking away from their former bodies. There' no ministry in that.

The precedent set in scriptures is for every believer to be accountable to fellow worshipers. It doesn't have to be a particular denomination, but must be with other disciples of Christ. Without regular fellowship, independence slowly becomes a curse. A hummingbird showed up here in the cold, very thin, entirely alone. He had better join the others soon.

A pastor sitting at his fireplace heard a knock at the door. He invited in a man of his congregation. "Have a seat, warm yourself."
The man began to warm, then announced "Pastor, I don't think I require assembling as often as the church wants to, as I can make it fine on my own now."
The pastor sat silent, both watching the fire. The pastor reached for the poke, found a nice glowing coal, then moved it from the fire onto the hearth by itself. The coal dimmed, then was black, while the other piled coals glowed happily.
"Pastor, I understand, I'll be there Sunday."

Thank you for your message. Thank you for caring. I participate in my local church regularly including prayer meeting, worship gatherings, multiple study classes, music events and more. However, I am not a denominational loyalist and "yes man" to the extent that I have been invited to join the club of "good 'ole boys (and girls)"..

In the parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13), there were Ten Virgins waiting for the appearance of the bridegroom (Jesus Christ). Five were ready to enter the wedding with oil to last. There were five others whose lamps had run out of oil. They were not ready and were shut out. Those who profess to be Christian include hypocrites and pretenders.
