Does anyone suffer from Migraines?
I usually attribute mine to anxiety, stress and eating habits.
I believe I eat pretty healthy for the most part but I have alot of stress and anxiety that I deal with. This of course affects my spiritual life and the people around me. A migraine can shut me down for a day or more sometimes.
I usually get one once or twice a month but its not unusual to have them more often during the summer.
Thoughts comments suggestions. Anybody else have this problem?

Migraines are not caused by the same reasons as normal headache, there are special medication to deal with Migraines. Try consulting your doctor.
The reason that you have them more often during the summer is probably due to dehydration which well, never helps.

There are many different causes of migraines. Thats why its a good idea to be evaluated by a migraine specialist. My daughter suffers from complicated migraines. One of the most difficult to treat. Most migraines can be treated and are better managed if you can prevent them ahead of onset. You stated that you have anxiety issues, it is not uncommen to have this with migraines. Good luck in your care. God bless, pickles

I can recommend a few unconventional things. I usually take pain medicine, but if I can avoid it, I don't. And yes I'm talking about heavy duty migraines too.

1. Get some vinegar in a small glass or pour it on a handkerchief, and just sniff it - breathe it in constantly for 10 minutes to half an hour.
2. There's pressure points in your hands between the thumb and first finger, in the muscly part. Apply constant pressure and alternate. Look it up on google.
3. Have a reeeeeeeeally HOT shower. Yes HOT. Just let the water hit your head for about 20 minutes. Include the back of your neck and our forehead. Then lie down in a completely dark and silent room with the fan on.

I guess what I am trying to get at is does anyone think that physical problems can be the result of spiritual warfare?
I mean look at the story of Job.
When I have a Migraine it seems to come when I am doing something really important. Such as VBS the first day was horrible I could barely go cause of the Migraine. Praise the Lord He got me through.

Hi Narn,
I do think that it is possible physical manifestions can be attributed to spiritual influence. However, what you seem to be describing is migraines following previous anxiety and/or stress. My suggestion is to take the advice of the others here and first seek a physicians help AND also try to get to the root of the anxiety and/or stress and work on that through the Lord and His word. Perhaps a good christian counselor, pastor or friend to talk to if needed as well. May God direct your steps.

I get really bad esophogial spasms along with my migranes.... ... And i usually get in the shower as well.... but i sit down and rock back and forth lol kinda helps take my mind off the excruciating pain.. I get mine as a result of anxiety as well, so i have to make sure and calm myself down, because the anxiety can make the headache worse as well. I also take loooooooooooooooooooooooootts of motrin..... for me the shower helps alot though.....

Yes they can be a spiritual attack. My youth leader used to get these until she realized the power of rebuking them in Jesus' name and God's amazing healing. She didn't know too much about the spiritual realm until she went to Harvest (afterward became a youth leader). Pray against them - medical or not. God can heal anything. Even hypoglycemia in my case.

My sister had migraines a lot until she got pregnant. lol Maybe that would work for ya ;)
