Hi Cherie, here's a sermon by Dr. John MacArthur called, Happy Are The Peacemakers, that I remember enjoying when I heard it. It's an interesting look into the Biblical theme of peace, and of peacemakers. If anyone cares to listen to and/or read the sermon, it's free to do so. It's based on Matthew 5:9's, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God", and it can be found here:

BTW, you ask an excellent and very important question for all Christians to consider, how to be a Biblical peacemaker, so I am looking forward to the discussion :)

Thanks!

Here's a final thought for now from an article I read that may be worth discussing:

God Called Us to Be Peacemakers, Not Peacekeepers
It's important for Christians to know the difference.

"To practice spiritual discipline of God's inspiration of the 'principles' of life, in the now...
and to earnestly apply the 'principles' in ones own life...each day. No more...no less."

Proclaim the word of God in love. Love for the souls of the lost. The word of God will divide between those who hear it. John 3:15-21 is a short narrative on the matter from Jesus.

Peace is found only in the Lord. The world is always at enmity with the Lord and His word. If the world hated Christ why would we think they will not also hate us?
