Arizona Christian University’s polling arm, The Cultural Research Center, headed up by renowned pollster George Barna, conducted a 2020 post-election survey to investigate the religious faith and attitudes of voters in last November’s presidential election.

His conclusion? People who voted for President Joe Biden hold different views on many biblical mandates than those who voted for former President Donald Trump. He concludes that “although nearly two-thirds (65%) of [Biden] voters consider themselves to be Christian, many of their religious beliefs and policy positions are at odds with the views of most Americans and with traditional biblical teaching.”

The first difference Barna notes is that in contrast to Biden voters, 80% of Trump voters identified as Christian.

On the issue of whether absolute moral truths exist and are defined in the Bible, only 25% of Biden voters believe that, as compared to 43% of Trump voters.

Is marriage between a man and a woman God’s only acceptable plan for humanity? 42% of Biden voters agree, as compared to 69% of Trump voters.

When asked, “Is God is the all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect and just creator of the universe who still rules that universe today,” 37% of those who voted for Biden and 60% of those who voted for Trump agreed.

Biden voters were more likely than Trump voters to believe that all faiths are of equal value, 68% to 58%. They were less likely than Trump voters to identify as “theologically conservative,” 25% to 42%.

https://dailycitizen.focusonthefami...ring-religious-beliefs-of-trump-biden-voters/

Quite a difference for people who claim to follow the same Jesus Christ. Four major differences in
-Absolute moral truths
-Marriage between a man and woman
-Is God is the all-powerful, all-knowing, perfect and just creator of the universe who still rules that universe today.
- And all faiths are of equal value. (Universalism, belief in the salvation of all souls.)

Are there absolute moral truths? Yes.
Marriage is defined in the Bible between 1 man and 1 woman. God is all powerful, infinite in knowledge, perfect, holy, just, and theistically works within the universe from beginning to the end of time. Jesus is the only way to salvation.

All of this can be proved either in scripture, within the laws of logic and reason, or as evidence of God's power and work within the universe. But this post, for now, will only focus on absolute truth and the problem we face today within the spread of postmodernism.

On the issue of whether absolute moral truths exist and are defined in the Bible, only 25% of Biden voters believe that, as compared to 43% of Trump voters.

This is a big difference between 25% and 45% but still bad for Christians to be this low in both groups.

The philosophical movement called postmodernism describes knowledge and value systems as socially or culturally constructed or set by those in power.

Students who follow this belief system will criticize objective reality, moral law, absolute truth, reason, and social progress.

No one moral system is better than the other. No rights or wrongs. Just what those in power support or culturally accepted. Social progress is viewed as the ends justify the means. Imagine having no morals to constrain the social progress you wish to achieve? ( example: Hitler couldn't be judged by His actions if no absolute moral truths exist)

Modern example:

US President Joe Biden now stands accused in certain sections of defending Chinese brutalities against Uighur Muslims.
"He added, "No American President can be sustained as a President if he doesn't reflect the values in the United States. So I am not going to speak out against what he is doing in Hong Kong, what he is doing with the Uighurs in the western mountains of China, Taiwan and One China policy by making it forceful, and he gets it. Culturally there are different norms in each country and their leaders are expected to follow", Biden said.

https://m.republicworld.com/world-n...-backlash-for-not-asking-china-to-own-up.html
Postmodernism has crept into the Church but also adopted by politicians and our President. It is self-defeating because if America was being attacked by a foreign country, would he be just as acceptable to say it is just part of their cultural norm? Islamic terrorist attack. A cultural norm?

America has led the way in civil rights for centuries. How do you lead the way if we say America isn't exceptional? Are we to be hypocritical and say we are against genocide here in America but it is okay for China? Is this why Disney can take in millions of dollars from China who has one of the highest rates of civil rights crimes while simultaneously advocate for their idea of social justice in America?

!!! My revelation !!!

Postmodernism is just nonsense created to destroy the traditional Judeo-Christian foundation. They say absolute truth can not be found today until those in power want to push their truth claims tomorrow.

Be careful church.
Be careful families.
Be careful children.
Do not be led astray by nonsense.

...former President Donald Trump...
Not "former" president but "actual" president. A pretender is in the White House. Hopefully he will be removed from there shortly.

People who voted for Biden probably did it for two reasons: (1) insane hatred of Trump or (2) blind loyalty to the Democrats (without examining their evil agenda). However, if any genuine Christian voted for Biden, he or she voted for Satan. And there can be no excuse.

A lot of ignorance. I know Christian Democrat voters and I do not understand, they are so versed in scripture, I highly respect them but they voted Democrat. It has to be ignorance.

No but political affiliations may better fit His Word than others.
Political ideals may better fit His word than others I would say...
This is why most atheists are on the left and most Christians are on the right.

To be honest, iv also wondered how any Christian could vote for the democrats these days.
I think some people still believe that the left is what they once were.
Other people are too entrenched in their political position and will never change.

If i had the choice i wouldn't vote at all... But here in Australia, we are all forced to vote to prevent getting a fine

i think in some countries who vote for the right and are christians cos a lot of christians tend to be richer than other citizens, and right leaning parties tend to be the ones with money and power. (thats they wanna keep to themselves)

This is just a fact its not really to say the right is always moral. There are crooks in the right as well as the left.

in nz you dont have to vote if you dont want to, but there is a drive to have everyone enrolled.

in the US what I find weird is that there have been a few christian democrats leaders...obama was one of them, in his memoirs he shared a testimony of being saved, but a lot of people kinda assume that all republicans are christians and democrats arent.

what one has to look at is someones character but in politics people tend to only think in party lines. We
l lots of politicians are in a party yes but they also have a personal conscience. Just as in church all of us have our own personal experiences with God and they arent always what the church proscribes.

I think instead of complaining about it, just get on with it, no matter who is in power. In the Bible peoole didnt always have the leaders they wanted. And even when they were their own, as in case of kings, the kings still did evil things or made terrible mistakes and blunders, why, because they were just men.

But that does not mean that Christians should simply stand by and let evildoers take control of their governments. You will find democratic principles being applied under God in the Old Testament and in the New Testament.

Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh. (Judges 11:11)

Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. (Acts 6:2,3)

I think that would be a good(better) idea. Each of us has , by reason of being in a democracy and enjoying the benefits that come with it , should vote and have your say in what ever business is on the go . A fine for NOT doing that seems a reasonable decision. Just sayin.

Before that fine is paid, there should be legal action to fine every politician at least $1,000,000 for failing to uphold the Constitution, and keep their promises. This money should then be placed in a separate fund, out of which the fines for not voting should be paid. Once the politicians see the connection, they may do what they are supposed to do, following which the citizens will do what they are supposed to do.

Almost all -- if not all -- politicians have forgotten that the only reason they are elected is to ensure that government is for the people, not the enemy of the people. Today almost all governments have become enemies of the citizenry, and there is no recourse since the laws are all designed to favor the politicians and put citizens at a disadvantage.

No, not reasonable at all. It actually should be made with reasonable restrictions as in voter ID, proper address, age requirements, actually have to be alive, has to be turned in on a deadline im order to be counted, and the voter should UNDERSTAND the topic being voted on. The arguments from both sides, the historical implications of such topics, the science, the facts, statistics, and simple morality.

To vote is part of a Democracy. Free elections involve liberty. Liberty involves responsibility for one's actions. For example, you have the liberty to own a firearm. But once you misuse that firearm and murder someone then you have violated the right to life of another. This violation gives justification in restricting or taking away that individual's liberty.

People who vote out of ignorance can in many ways violate the rights of others, the liberty of others as it often affects life, liberty, and property.
